We went to the soft opening and everything was amazing from the food to the service! For drinks we got a corona which was a corona with a lime, as good as any corona with a lime. And we got the raspberry mojito mocktail. The mocktail was very fruity and very fresh! If you’re not an alcohol drinker I’d recommend this drink. The salsa (especially the green salsa) was SO good. I would come here again just for the salsa! For entrees we got the big taco, which is half pictured because we got a little too excited before we snagged a photo. The size was intimidating but the flavor was amazing! And even though the chicken was so juicy the crispy taco shell never got soggy which is always a plus. We also had the fajitas, I would highly recommend the fajitas to anyone who isn’t sure what to get! The meat was cooked perfectly, the sides were fresh and the tortillas were really good. No dessert at the soft opening but they did have dessert options on the menu that sounded so good! We’ll have to try those next time we’re there. As far as service, phenomenal! Even though they were extremely busy, and even more so with the pouring rain changing some patio plans, we felt like the server, Madi, and a guy who appeared to maybe be the manager or owner, were super attentive! Madi did a great job explaining all of our food to us and getting us drinks, refills, more salsa etc. And the people who were bringing out our food were really nice as well. The patio was perfect! Spacious, mostly covered from the rain other than the seats along the edge and had the perfect lighting. Looked like they had misters or maybe heaters as well so it seems like it’ll be great all year. We will definitely be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We hosted our wedding reception at Funky Frida’s and I can’t say enough good things about the entire experience. The ambiance and decor were absolutely everything: cozy, fun, perfectly eclectic, and upscale all at once. It truly set the tone for a night we’ll never forget. The service was phenomenal from start to finish. Every staff member we interacted with was professional, kind, and attentive, and a special shout-out goes to Edson for going above and beyond. When unexpected rain hit, the team seamlessly moved us indoors and even saved our outdoor décor: a small but incredibly thoughtful gesture that meant the world to us. The catered food was exceptional and beautifully presented. Every dish looked as good as it tasted, and the short ribs in particular were unbelievably tender and delicious. Throughout the night, the staff was thoughtful and concise with their questions and timing, making everything run effortlessly. I would recommend Funky Frida’s to anyone planning a special event. They exceeded every expectation and helped make our wedding reception absolutely perfect. 💛 Many many many hugs and special thanks to: Tess I., Edson, Emily, Chris, Lindsey, Kenzee, Ginny and Chris T. Without you, the night would not been nearly as perfect. Thank you. ----The Paradisos

Long time Little O’s/OHSO fan throughly impressed with the newest concept. Decor is memorizing and elegant with a Spanish twist. Food is authentic with a menu covering a wide arrange of options to satisfy any palate. Our server Lexus was amazing and very attentive. Can’t wait to return for the grand opening!

We were very pleased with the overall experience at Funky Frida's. The service was excellent. The food was excellent. It was VERY loud in there, especially for a Sunday afternoon and the electrotechno didn't fit to us based on who we saw in there dining. But, the decor and overall atmosphere was good! They do a team service the same as OHSO and everyone was attentive and engaged. Excellent service. The food was a huge surprise! They have different salsa for you to try but you have to ask. Their house salsa is a chipotle one--with great flavor for that style--and we are not fans of chipotle. Our server brought a couple other choices and I LOVED them both. The manager stopped by to see how our experience was and brought the freshest, tastiest tomatillo sauce I have had a a restaurant! Wow. Blew me away. Our food was wonderful. We started with the dip trio. Queso, elote, and a Poblano queso. They were all different and all very fresh and hot and we'll done. Huge appetizer--enough for 4. Took plenty home. We tried the seafood Del Mar sampler and asked for the black charro beans. Again, very flavorful and well executed. Not plain at all and an afterthought like most Mexican restaurants around here. I even liked the cilantro rice and I never eat rice! Ever. Such a nice change from the orange hued waste of space you get at other places. The shrimp in the taco and enchilada was perfectly cooked and we'll seasoned. The lobster empanada was different and very tasty as well. Portion sizes were on the large side--we had leftovers. The margarita was very good. Want to try other choices next time. Obviously, we had no room for dessert this time, but there are some yummy choices for another visit. Prices were very very reasonable, which is so important right now....
