I was there on Saturday, June 21, the young lady taking orders through the drive-through, may have been new, but did not appear to have a clue to what she was doing. The previous cars order was still on the screen, and I don’t think she realized that I was a new car that pulled up. I had to tell her several times that is the car in front of me order. I don’t believe she rang my food up correctly either but I just wanted to get it and go. When I got to the window to get my food. There was a young man working in the window, he was barely putting a couple tablespoons of ice in everyone’s drinks. The soda cup was probably good 2 inches from the top of the line. I ordered a large vanilla iced coffee. He went to hand me my drink, and there was a good inch of syrup at the bottom of the cup. Whoever made my iced coffee did not mix everything. It looked disgusting. It looked like there was an inch of vegetable oil at the bottom of the drink. The rest of the drink was almost white. Which a large, vanilla iced coffee should be a nice light tan color. When they put too much creamer in there, it’s gross and milky, when they don’t put enough flavor and creamer in there, that iced coffee is very dark and better. I did not take the drink, and I told the gentleman that I did not want it, that it looked disgusting. He told me the guy that made it just didn’t mix it and kept trying to hand it to me. I was very nice to him, but I told him I did not want to drink. I told him it looked disgusting And I’ll just go ahead and take a soda instead. He closed the window and he came back and handed me my iced coffee again because he mixed it up, but at that point, I didn’t want it. I don’t know what that layer was at the bottom, but I’m guessing the syrup and the rest of it is milky white. They appear to be a manager, not too far behind him. A short stocky guy wearing a white dress shirt with a tie tucked down to front in the middle. I kept looking past the guy the window seeing if a man would come over and help, but it almost appeared. He didn’t wanna look our way. After multiple times letting the guy know the window. I don’t want to iced coffee anymore. I’ll just go and take a soda. He finally gave me a soda. Service was terrible, the food was OK. I really do not understand why it is such a challenge for people to take orders correctly, prepare, and or hand off food to the customers. I understand that it’s fast paced, but it is not a difficult job. It makes it worse when they act like they don’t care either. They would not want to waste their money somewhere or be treated that way. That was my first time going to that location and I...
Read morePeople often don’t understand how difficult it is to perform at a high level in a customer service capacity. I’ve done it for decades and it takes a toll. I was talking with a woman here named Jackie, who was giving 110% to each customer and I was shocked to learn that she not only was performing at an elite level re: customer service with every person, but she also just had a baby a week ago and she is already back in the grind!!! This restaurant is exceptionally clean as well… I would venture to say it’s the most clean McDonald’s I’ve ever seen in my life… As I sit waiting for my meal, I can literally see that the spotless table that I’m sitting at was just recently wiped down- this NOT how most McDonald’s locations are… I sure hope you guys are taking amazing care of Jackie, because if you don’t, I very well might try to steal her so that she can run my business… She is one heck of an ambassador and is certainly cut above any regular employee anywhere… McDonald’s mgmt you have a district or area manager here… Jackie you have an exceptional/rare way about you… You would do very good in real estate or other presumably far more lucrative endeavors… Keep it up and don’t let the world get you down… That attitude will carry you very far in life as long as you have the right vehicle-thank you for the incredible / noteworthy service.. McDonald’s upper management, send in an undercover customer and have them interact with this woman when she is unaware that she is being watched… You’ll see what I mean. By the way I asked Jacqui to tell me what kind of review would help her the most and then I left this review, she did not ask me to do anything like this for her- it was my idea- thanks for reading and for hopefully giving...
Read moreI am just going to say the employees that work overnight should not have jobs. It said online they were open.... when I pulled up to the drive through I spoke to someone. They asked me of I was using the app and if I had a code..... I gave them the code and than there was silence. I waited patiently for a reply and nothing. Eventually the person behind me was becoming impatient so i pulled up to the window. I could clearly see two employees working inside. One of them clearly the manager. She wiped down counters and walked around. She made eye contact with me multiple times. Not once did she make any attempt to say anything to me to indicate anything. So I waited figuring if they were closed Shel would at least walk up and say something but no not a word or a gesture. After about 5 minutes (and I waited this long because there were multiple cars behind me that I thought perhaps they were successful at making their orders. I wasn't sure. Bottom line is the manager knew that she had customers in her drive through and someone did accept my drive through code which told them what my order was. The very least that manager should have done was come to the window and explained that they were not taking orders or something .... anything besides being unprofessional and outright rude by the lowest of standards. So long story short the McDonalds r restaurant on 32nd st and Greenway needs to improve on their hiring or training practices. There are plenty of other options all around the area including other McDonalds restaurants. Best believe I will be choosing any of those options next time. Thank you rude...
