Visited this location with my son during a busy Saturday late morning. My son bought some nuggets to go, inside at the registers. Gave them a 20 for a 7.06 total. He received a receipt, but no change (12.94). He didn't realize it at the time because it was so busy and chaotic at the registers. When we got to our destination up in Scottsdale he realized he didn't get any change. I asked if he was sure, we double and triple checked. We were not going to be back in the Ahwatukee area until 5pm. So I called the location, talked with someone, told them the situation. I wanted to call before a shift change so they could check the register for an overage since we paid in cash. The male employee(didn't get the name) told me he would check the register and for me to go head and stop by at 5. When we got to the restaurant at 5, there was different staff at the register. I ask for the manager, a lady came up and told me that there was no overage from the morning... Maybe I should have pushed further, ask for video or something. My 17 year old son is very frugal. Always knows how much money he has. He was not mistaken on not getting his change. I know it is only 12.94, but that is still theft. Last time I will visit this...
Read moreFor the first time in a long time, I experienced racism and unfortunately I had to explain to my kids the situation. The guy at the window was super rude and very unprofessional. the car before me (white male) was handed the terminal to make a payment. I get to the window and he asks for my car and proceeds to hand me a second receipt asking me to sign. I asked why was I signing when I paid with a debit card. He then yells advising me to sign anywhere. I questioned him again. He raises his voice again and then attempts to make the excuse of because I paid over $20 with a debit card. (Never in my life have i signed for orders even larger than that). I initialed for proof and then pull up. The guy then hands the person behind me the terminal (white male) and I was in complete shock. I arrive at the window and ask for the manager. I explain the situation and she advises she will handle it. I'm still upset I had to deal with this in general but even more so with my children in the car. I filed a complaint and McDonald's sent a coupon but way more needs to be done. I really hope he was fired to ensure that this does not happen to anyone else! This is flat out...
Read moreI had a horrible experience with this place. They were rude to me, so I politely asked for a refund. The manager said they dont know how to do a refund, i was asked to come back tomorrow so i could hopefully get a refund. So I asked for a copy of the receipt since I would have to now come back for a refund. They did not seem happy to print a receipt, took over 5 minutes and claimed they couldn't find it and asked if I could pull forward. I guarantee that if i did, I would still be waiting there to this day. I politely said it's just a receipt it should not require moving forward to be ignored longer. 60 seconds later I got a receipt and cash refund even though I paid card. Granted, they shorted me and never gave the change but that is to be expected I guess. Mcdonalds unfortunately hires anyone so one McD may be amazing yet the one down the street is horrible. I honestly should have complained to corporate but people like this seem to be protected these days. I would rather share my experience and if more had similar ones it will help people avoid...
