Great all around! I have allergies and they went way above and beyond to accommodate. I've never been so well received at a restaurant in my life, they printed out my own little menu for me of things I could eat, however the waitress offered the option that the chef make me my own special creation of a meal. He actually made up a fantastic dish just for me (I felt so special)! She said the chef used to work on a cruise ship, and that he loved the art of cooking and coming up with new things. The hostess came and socialized with us often. She was a great conversationalist, and the company should be thrilled to have such a fabulous employee. This was in maybe 2011 so I don't know if she's still there, but it's now 2013 and I still remember dining here. That's because it wasn't just us going to dinner at some restaurant it was made into an awesome experience because of the yummy food but mostly the great employees. We are from Utah but came to Arizona to attend a funeral and we stopped in expecting an average dining experience. But what we got was so much more! A real actual experience in dining, and a great memory. Like I was saying the hostess was amazing! She was so happy to serve us and took the 3 of us kids in the back to tour the kitchen and made it super exciting! She called over to the chef and he poured some oil or something on the dish he was creating which then took fire and put on a little fire show at the stove for us flipping the food around he was so skilled. It was awesome, he was so happy and glad we were there. The hostess then showed us the freezer and gave us the whole grand tour while everyone waited for the food and entertained us while our parents talked. She was so interested in each of us individually and made everyone feel so important. After the meal she had the chef himself come out and meet our table, he was very charismatic and so generously made us a special desert that I could eat (wasn't allergic to) of caramelized strawberries free of charge. This was by far the best dining experience I've ever had and probably ever will have in my life! I'll probably never forget it as long as I live, I mean it's already been 2 years and I still remember it and I'm writing about it so, ya but they were amazing. This is what dining should be all about! Amazing. We've been loyal customers because of it and have gone to many P F Changs since, although we have yet to find employees at the caliber we found here all of their employees have been pretty good, and the food is great! In our last visit a few weeks ago to the Provo location I ate duck for the first time, it was superb! Way delicious and I really recommend that, although it is a bit pricey but most anything on the menu is good so, do I recommend this place? Yes, they gave me the best dining experience of my life, so I...

I don't know if they have outdoor seating as we didn't ask. I didn't order a beverage but their list had the standard fare, plus some nice non-alcoholic choices and a decent selection of wines, beers, and interesting-sounding mixed drinks. My choice of meal was a little difficult, as always, due to my being pescatarian (no land meat, only sea meat) and having Celiac disease (no gluten). While they did have some gluten-free items on the menu, they all had meat in them. And substituting tofu wasn't an option because they season it with something that contains gluten. I settled (yes, settled) on the Singapore Street Noodles without chicken. It was definitely a large portion; rather 3 portions of (that type) of food. The food itself was delicious but very oily. Only 4 little shrimps that were not very fresh (ick). Perhaps they could have thrown in a couple more for the chicken they didn't include -- would have been nice. Anyhow, very tasty dish that I would recommend, with the additional recommendation that you only eat a portions-worth, box the rest, and order a good side of veggies to complete a more rounded-out meal. This particular dish is highly calorific and the sodium is tremendous! My companion ordered the chicken lettuce wraps (which are gluten-free but not vegetarian. And the vegetarian wraps are not gluten-free) and enjoyed them very much. Again, waaay more than a serving size for a single person so tasty leftovers is always a great option. Would have liked to have the option of making more of the gluten-free dishes vegetarian as well. It's difficult to only have 1 or maybe 2 food options. Service was great. I think this place might be fantastic for people who don't have food limitations and/or don't care about nutrition, but really didn't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFive reasons for a one-star review of P.F. Chang's at 2420 W Happy Valley Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85085:
Inconsistent Portion Sizes: Despite the attentive service, the dining experience was marred by inconsistent portion sizes. Some dishes were overfilled while others were noticeably lacking, particularly evident in the rice and salads. This lack of attention to detail reflects poorly on the kitchen's quality control standards. Flavorless Food: Despite the promising descriptions on the menu, the food at P.F. Chang's failed to deliver in terms of flavor. Dishes lacked the depth and complexity expected from Asian-inspired cuisine, leaving a bland and unsatisfying taste experience. Mishandled Special Orders: Our group included individuals with dietary restrictions, necessitating special orders such as Lo Mei. However, the kitchen staff's mishandling of these requests resulted in incorrect portion sizes for each party member, with three large and one small portion brought to the table. This oversight demonstrates a lack of attention to detail and disregard for customer preferences. Undercooked Rice: One of the most basic components of any Asian meal, the rice served at P.F. Chang's was disappointingly undercooked. Not only was it lacking in flavor, but the texture was also unpleasant, making it nearly inedible. Such a fundamental flaw in a staple dish reflects poorly on the kitchen's competency. Overall Disappointment: Despite the efforts of the service staff to rectify some of the issues, the overall dining experience at P.F. Chang's was a profound disappointment. From the lackluster food to the mishandled special orders and undercooked rice, each aspect of the meal fell short of expectations. As a result, we left feeling dissatisfied and unlikely to return...
