While dining in, could you ever imagine as you’re taking a scoop of vegetable fried rice, you lift up your eating utensil, and OUT comes a fortune cookie PAPER drenched in soy sauce?! Not the actual fortune cookie… but just the paper!

It almost appeared that the fortune cookie was unwrapped from the plastic, then the cookie was broken, then fingers were used to pull the paper out, then strategically placed that paper inside of the vegetable fried rice that was served to me.

When escalated to the server who had dirt underneath her fingernails, it appeared as if she had not washed her hands all day while handling both money and food, I was told the rice is next to the fortune cookies within the back cooking area, then gave me a blank stare as if this is normal - no apology was granted!

So not only is the rice NOT fresh but there are unsanitary items loosely placed around raw food that can fall into the food as it is being cooked at any given time. Very unsanitary and disturbing. That’s the first red flag.

2nd red flag is that the server offered to remake the vegetable fried rice ONLY but not my ENTIRE unsanitary dish.

When the server walked to the back, AFTER leaving the unsanitary dish in front of me, not only were several eyes on me from the back kitchen area as if I put the unsanitary fortune cookie paper in the vegetable fried rice but the laughs were so loud that it echoed into the dining area. Totally unprofessional.

I immediately caught the attention of the server and asked her to remove the plate and that I would like a refund. Not too much sympathy or customer service was present during this unsavory experience. I do not recommend this place AT ALL! I hope Wong’s doesn’t make me sick later.

I would rather take the extra trip to eat at, “Grace Garden” in Gilbert! At least I know ALL of the food at Grace Garden is prepared fresh to order, you will be greeted at the door, and treated gracefully - they truly live up...

I love Wong's Chinese Dining. They are always friendly, accommodating and amazingly fast getting your order out to your table or getting it ready for take-out. And the best part is that their prices are very reasonable. I have been going to Wong's for over 5 years. They are my go-to Chinese Cantonese Style restaurant. I know they cook other styles as well, but they make the kind of Cantonese dishes that remind me most of home in Chicago where I am from. When family and friends come to town and ask where the best Chinese Food is here in town, I always take them to Wong's. They are never disappointed. I let them know that Wong's may not be the most elegant looking restaurant, it's a neighborhood place, but they cannot be beat on tasty high-quality food, great service, gigantic portion sizes, speed, and their prices. Their Shrimp Egg Foo Young is superb and excellently executed. Most Chinese Restaurants in Phoenix area, make their Egg Foo Young with the meats (shrimp, pork, chicken) cooked and placed outside the patties. Wong's makes theirs Cantonese Style, so everything goes inside the patties and the gravy is excellent. So delicious. They make every type of stir fry you can think of and will customize it for you seasoned the way you like it. I live in Glendale on 67th Ave and Bell, But for me it's worth the trip to Wong's at 12th St and Buckeye if you want great food, great speedy friendly service at a more than reasonable...

First time trying Wong's Chinese Dining. My daughter and I started with the hot and sour soup. It was delicious; chunks of chicken, shrimp, and mushrooms in a salty hot and sour soup base. Next up were the Pot Stickers; fried to perfection with juicy filling. The sauce served with them was a perfect compliment to the pot stickers. I had the Kung Pao Chicken lunch special. The fried rice that accompanied it was amazing, fried, but still moist. The spring rolls were very good, especially with the sweet and sour sauce served with fried wonton. The Kung Pao Chicken was a might disappointing, though it had great flavor, it could have used a bit more spice, but it was still very good none the less. Prices here are inexpensive, $31 for my daughter and myself, large portions, so big that there is enough for us to have another meal from it. The servers were great, seeing to our needs without hovering. Definitely worth the drive for us!

Very polite and quick service. The dining room was clean. everyone looked happy and we're visibly enjoying their meals. We ordered chop suey but I don't think it wasn't what my husband expected so he ordered orange chicken as well. The flavor was good but it was like an old batch of chicken mixed with a fresh batch so some pieces were over done and some were perfect. Not a deal breaker but could have been better. I had the chicken curry, very delicious 👍🏾. The egg drop soup is perfect, it has a lot of veggies and tofu in it. We like it here best and we went to Liyuens and new garden! If you don't get the combo meals the items on the menu come family style. We didn't mind having extra food we have plenty of kids at home and they enjoyed the food as well. The prices are not outrageous and all around it was a good experience and I'm glad we live nearby. This is our new spot for sure, thank you for having us
