My go to Chinese restaurant was closed for New Year so I started looking around and found this place online. Surprisingly good Chinese food in Valley is hard to find especially since the Chinese cultural center closure. But the family had hankering for Chinese so based on online reviews and location we picked this place. They use a third party app for convenient online ordering for the orders to go. The app was pretty simple and easy to use. We ordered our food which was pretty large order. The person taking the order was very courteous and nice (I decided to call in instead of using the app because I had some special instructions). I received a call back from them because one of the dishes could not be prepared since they had run out of a particular vegetable and she profusely apologized. I changed that specific dish without any issues. The restaurant is located in a strip mall. When I went there to pick up the food they were prompt in attending to me. The interior looked spacious, nice and clean. The person at the front desk was polite and apologized again for not being able to deliver one of the dishes that I had to substitute. We had ordered a variety of food and all of it was cooked perfectly according to the instructions we had provided. The dishes tasted pretty good. I loved the Mongolian chicken, other dishes like Orange chicken and Moo Go Gai Pam were equally enjoyed. Their egg rolls were pretty good sized and Crab Rangoon (cream puffs) were pretty good as well. I would definitely recommend this place for casual evening or...
Read moreThis won’t be exhaustive or deep since I’ve been going here since I was a teenager. However, there is something to be said about consistency. We ordered three take out dishes of Chicken LoMein, Lemon Chicken, and Orange Chicken. The portion size was generous and filling for all three dishes, though I missed the egg roll/egg drop soup that comes with dishes at other establishments. In all fairness, I could have missed a combo option on the menu too.
Being that we are in quarantine, it’s hard to speak to the dining experience and establishment. The take out though was fast and efficient and was packages well to minimize tipping in the car ride home. The best part though was that the leftovers were just as good, (if not better) as when we first ate them.
The individual dishes were simple enough. The lemon chicken was not over powering and complimented the lightly breaded chicken. The orange chicken was tangy and had a bit of a kick which was a good thing. The Chicken LoMein was simple enough with proportional chicken and veggies, though could have had a bit more of a taste enhancer or sauce but it was by no means bland.
At the end of the day this is a GREAT Chinese alternative and option under our current circumstances where so many other Chinese restaurants are closed right now. This three star can EASILY grow to 4-5 when I get to sit down in the dining room. I’ve been going for 30 years and see no reason...
Read moreI love this place and I come often, the food is always good and so are the SERVERS. However today when we came in I could hear an older couple upset because they had waited over thirty minutes for their food, the woman who normally works the front came up and spoke to them essentially telling them if they didn’t like it to get out. Normally I’m on the restaurants side and people can be Karen’s but she was very rude to this old couple, she had explained to them that they were the first order of the day and they have a lot to do in the back before they can serve food, the couple said they understood but it was taking forever. Then the women who works the front sarcastically said “yeah how about I have them come in at 9 instead of ten from now on” when realistically, yeah you probably should if it takes that long to get an order out or at minimum set an expectation on the wait time for food before seating your customer. She was very loud and everyone in the restaurant could hear her. I understand the frustration on both sides, but the restaurant management also needs to remember that their customers are what make their business profitable. Maybe don’t treat older people poorly that make you money or set proper expectations. I’ve also had an issue with the same lady who was rude to them months back, but chose not to leave a review because I know everyone had a bad night. I guess it wasn’t a bad...
