I'm a grubhub driver. I have been delivering food from restaurants for over 1 year and gave made over 1500 deliveries. Rarely do I have a poor experience at a restaurant. Pretty much all restaurants make picking up food easy on the driver. Which makes sense because we're delivering food for the restaurant and we should provide excellent customer service. While I was at your establishment I asked the front counter employee for a cup holder. She said that she couldn't give me one because they're not allowed to give out a cup holder for one drink. I said the reason I'm asking for one is because the cup will not fit in my particular type of cup holder in my car. I wanted to place the cup holder in my bag with the drink. She refused to give me one. I said I wouldn't be able to deliver the customers drink because it would spill while I was driving. She still wouldn't give me one. I had to call the customer and tell him the restaurant wouldn't give me a cup holder. I also had to call grubhub and tell them I couldn't deliver their drink because the restaurant refused to give me a cup holder. Even the grubhub associate was shocked I couldn't get a cup holder. I told grubhub that I wasn't asking for free fries, a drink, or a burger. I just asked politely for a cup holder. I tried one more time to get the drink to the customer by asking some customers in the restaurant who ordered two drinks if they'd get me a cup holder. Two restaurant employees yelled at me to leave like I was a dirty person trying to steal. It was shocking. I even asked for a manager. I was really trying hard to get the customer their drink. They did not care about the customer. So I left and the customer didn't receive their drink. This is really poor customer service. They acted like people are coming in there asking for cup holders all the time and they're tryingto crack down on it. It was ridiculous. I never had this happen anywhere during my entire time delivering food. Restaurants always look out for the drivers because we're working hard for you. Making sure customers are happy. I hope this doesn't...
Read moreYes, it's not the prettiest sow in a dress to look at, but it's some really Killer Food!! I'm up at 5AM mentally thumbing thru the menu, but I always have to get their pastrami. I lived in California, & this is good Cali-style pastrami hanging out of a huge bun, my preference, they usually put it on rye or marble (?) or whatever you want!! & Their big ole Burgers, & fish Tacos, & I'm even impressed by how good their fountain drinks are, not like most, but very tastey & of course raspberry tea. Yum! If I could I'd gain a ton & still waddle down there for 2 meals a day, 3-4 times a week. And fast! Ewwie it's Lickidy Split then your fresh made order is there to eat inside or take it to go (get a to go box anyway cuz I can't eat half of what they give me). I'm fierce for the "other half" (wink wink) in my nightie, in the bed, watching the telly with my date...My pooch named Hoover!🐕 Lol, & Yep, my big ole man! 😘 (Oh, Hi Honey!! Read moreI just got to say this place should not be called California Burger. Because if you're from California especially Los Angeles you know about Tam's Burger, Tommy's Burger and Tom's Burgers. And if you're from Arizona you know about Lenny's Burgers but the one on 35th Ave and Joe's Burgers... Well no comparison to those places. To start off the menu was just overwhelming so much on there just selling so many different things. Just keep it a burger joint don't sell anything else but that. The two ladies that were there at the register were just standing not doing anything until we asked for the special 2 burgers 2 fries 2 drinks for $18 plus tax. The burgers were so dry and not juicy at all it had no taste all I tasted was lettuce and a little bit of the thousand Island sauce but the french fries were good, Also I was having second thoughts after sitting down waiting for our food because it was so dirty around us. The 2 girls should be cleaning tables, sweeping and just cleaning the soda fountain machine, around the counters it wasn't busy when we ordered. I wouldn't recommend this place at all they need to do better, very disappointed about the "California"...
