The sign outside the restaurant stated that there was smoked roast beef and smoked chicken on the buffet besides also having ham and fried chicken. After paying $16.95 for the buffet and waiting in line, we found there was no smoke meats on the buffet. One of the workers said there would be smoked chicken in about 5 minutes. We waited 40 minutes and there was never any smoked meat put out and then we were told that's because their menu had changed and there wasn't going to be any smoked chicken or smoked roast beef on there. I spoke to the manager and stated that this is false advertising. She said she had notified corporate that morning and they would not allow her to change the sign. Very misleading to call a restaurant Smokehouse and there is no smoked meat on the menu. I believe that corporate wouldn't allow them to change the sign because many people then wouldn't come in. When we were standing outside in line we told them about the problem and several of them left to go to a different restaurant. After talking to the manager for quite some time, she did end up refunding are meals. The food that they did have was very good but it still is upsetting that it was...
Read moreI stopped by here around 6:30 on a Sunday evening (New Years Day) while at Dollywood. The smell of bbq from outside really drew me in. My brother and I got the pulled pork sandwiches and baked beans. That with two drinks was $38.50!! The drink itself was over $3 and the cup was so Small! You also didn’t get much beans either.
Its set up like a assembly line. You tell the first person your order and another person makes it. Then you pay at the end and this is where you can get a drink as well. They have fountain drinks available and nothing else extra like tea or lemonade.
Thankfully, they had a covered area for seating because while the day was nice, it got COLD!! I MUST say that BOTH the sandwich and the beans were DELICIOUS! If it wasn’t so expensive, i would’ve gotten another plate. I feel that they need to have the option to get either the sandwich only or the beans only. I would highly recommend the food here! While the prices are high, it’s typically for a theme park. We were planning on getting a dessert but we were told they didn’t...
Read moreFirst time here, and it was pretty good. It was self serve from the time we paid our bill to getting our drinks & utensils. Napkins were at the table. After paying, we had our choice of cold salads. The macaroni and potato salads were okay, and the frito chip corn salad was fair. The chips weren’t crunchy. The cole slaw was creamy and delicious.
From the main line, the sweet potato casserole was excellent. Beans were good & worth a second helping. Baked apples & mashed potatoes were good too. All of us tried the fried chicken, and it was very good. Smoked chicken was tasty. Pork loin was a little dry. Turkey was okay. Biscuit was moist and tasty.
With only one serving line, getting seconds was tricky. But we got them. We had second helpings of fried chicken and beans.
Of all the desserts, I tried banana pudding (excellent) & brownie (sweet & chocolate). No one else had room. For fast and easy and on your own, this was good. For all you can eat, the...
