I went here for the first time with my friend and when we came in one of the waitresses told us to "sit anywhere" so we did. Took about 5 minutes to put in a drink order even though everyone was sitting down, eating, watching Tik toks, just about everything but checking on the only customers they had in the store. Ordered an iced tea which tasted like lemon water. Then Placed a few sushi orders and appetizer. I got the spring rolls which were very crunchy and greasy like expected. I liked them. My sushi was also very good. I did notice the chef was not wearing any gloves at all the entire time we were there so I do hope he was washing his hands a whole lot...The waitress didn't check on us until the end when we're drinkless and needed a refill. Also I'd like to mention when our food was ready the chef rang a bell and it sat there for 5 minutes and all the workers were still on their phone and eating. I think eating on the floor is a bit unprofessional but it wouldn't bug me if they would just do their job. Bill was $65 and there was a lot of sushi ordered so that was to be expected. Going to try sushi xtreme next and pray I'll get better...
Read moreMy toddler and I met my husband here for his lunch break today, and it was fantastic! It was so quiet, I felt bad bringing a toddler, but it was too late by then. We did try to keep her quiet and made sure to clean up after ourselves. The staff didn't seem to mind, but I felt bad for the other diners. The food was fantastic, which was part of why she was so loud. So fantastic actually, that pregnancy cravings demanded hubby grab a to go order for tonight! SO good, will definitely go back (maybe with a babysitter planned). I wish I had thought to take some pictures.
We had: -gyoza (we always order everywhere, love these so much) -edamame (surprising hit with the toddler, couldn't pop them out fast enough) -rainbow roll -yummy roll (both of our favorite today) -spicy salmon roll -ootoro (fatty tuna) sashimi -tamago (egg omelette) sashimi (toddler's fav and a...
Read moreThis place is very DISGUSTING. The sushi guy made my sushi with his BARE HANDS. 🤮🤮🤮🤮 He didn't have a plastic gloves on when he supposed to. I didn't see him wash his hands before he make my sushi. He touched his mouth while making my sushi. I told the waitress that I don't want to eat my food because I saw the guy made it with his bare hand. She was being rude and gave me an attitude. He must NOT be a good sushi maker if he can't make sushi with plastic gloves on. I went to any restaurant before and they all have plastic gloves on. Plus I work at sushi restaurant and our sushi chefs are using plastic gloves. Only Kyoto didn't follow the safety protocols. I mean come on. Who does sushi with their bare hand now especially during this pandemic?.. Someone should investigate this place because I found it very unhealthy. This is a HEALTH HAZARD...
