What a treat! My finace' and I were in town for a wedding that she was in the bridal party for. I generally have to drop her off somewhere early in the morning for these events and like to treat myself to a delicacy that southern Maryland (Charles County) hasn't yet embraced.... A bagel with cream cheese. I called the night before to see if they made salt bagels (once very popular, but not so much in a more health-minded world). The manager said yes but only a limited number. He took my name and that was that. I went in this morning (7:30am) and was greeted by a friendly young man behind the counter. When I asked about salt bagels he said "oh you must be Julius. I normally only make two of these for two of our regulars but today I made four." I enthusiastically bought the two extra. What did I just eat? And why did I continue eating it? I’m quite sure nothing I had on my first and last visit actually qualifies as food. The last time food had absolutely no taste was when I got COVID years ago. Just 1000 calories of nothing. I couldn’t tell there was breakfast sausage in the breakfast bagel sandwich. I saw that it was cooked but couldn’t place it in the sandwich. I think it’s common that even the worst quality sausage often tastes of sausage. Not this one. Mystery meat. Same goes for the eggs. Are these eggs?! Why can’t I taste them? And why are they dripping egg juice? My wife could taste the bacon on her sandwich. Too bad it tasted like fish. I couldn’t believe it when I tried it. What is this?! Fish bacon? That’s a first. I’m quite sure we ordered bacon bacon. And forget about the coffee. All around the worst breakfast I’ve ever had anywhere...

My wife and I have been dinning here since April 2020. We make it a point to eat here weekly. We love the egg croissant sandwiches with turkey bacon. We also enjoy the best desserts here too like chocolate tops, baklava, and rainbow cake. Don't forget the top brand ice cream as well. My favorite is the muddy boots. We always run into a familiar face here. A great neighborhood cafe. The owner is always friendly and goes out of his way to make his customers happy. The staff too does a great job in taking our order and bringing the food out quickly and hot. Overall, great cafe, wonderful staff, and delicious food. There are also tables so one can eat outside...
