Drove from Atlanta to test this place out. It's certainly "off the beaten path". The waitress immediately addressed us upon our arrival. She was very courteous! We opted for the buffet. Not a good idea! The salad was ok. The vegetables were alright, they seemed more canned then freshly made. They seemed bland. We were so disappointed. The astetics of the restaurant was disappointing as well. The bathrooms need rehabbing. The ceiling tiles had stains and holes in the restaurant. The outside astetic was not inviting either. It just seems like no one takes pride in the restaurant. But the waitress was really accommodating and helpful. The only redeeming food item was the apple dumpling at the buffet. It was very delicious. I'm glad we knocked this restaurant off our bucket list, but when visiting Pine Mountain again we will give this restaurant a hard pass. And we won't even mention about the price of this buffet: $14. 👎🏼

The food is excellent. I have never ordered off of the menu, I usually get the buffet each time I visit. The service is friendly and fast. They really have an excellent salad bar. One thing that I like about the food is that it is not highly seasoned. I do not like a lot of salt in my food because I do my best to stay healthy. Some may consider the food bland but they are plenty of condiments on the table to spice it up however you like it. The cleanliness and the lack of excessive salt in the food makes it far healthier for those who are trying to maintain excellent health. You can get a good vegetable plate or meat, whatever your preference at the buffet. I have never had breakfast there, only lunch and dinner but if the breakfast is as good as the lunch and dinner, it also would be excellent.

We very much enjoyed eating at Eddie Mae's. We didn't go through the buffet line, but it looked hearty and delicious. We had the eggs plate, which was flawless. 1. The grits are made fresh each morning. These are not Quaker quick grits. If you've had a hankering for a decent bowl of grits, come here. 2. The bacon was thick, crispy and perfectly cooked. The country ham and sausage patties were also on the mark. 3. The biscuits were exactly what you expect from freshly made biscuits The restaurant itself is a no-apologies, rustic approach to solid food. They don't stand on ceremony, and the wait staff are professional and friendly. Bathrooms are clean. "Nuff said. If you're in the area to visit Callaway Gardens or for any other reason, stopping by Eddie Mae's Kountry Kitchen is a must.

UPDATE* since my initial review we have eaten here another 3 times..I'm not sure if they have someone different cooking but it's just NOT the same!!! The delicious fried chicken was way too greasy and undercooked. Then we tried the breakfast buffet 🤦‍♂️ I do not recommend it!!! We were excited to try it because we absolutely loved the breakfast biscuits that we would always order. I wound up sick!!! I should have not eaten the scrambled eggs because they appeared to be scrambled yet super runny. I'm not sure but the actual consistency was closer to powdered eggs. The buffet did offer breakfast meats as well but they were not preparing or bringing them out fast enough for the customers they had. By the time I was able to grab a small piece of bacon we were on our way out the door. My husband wound up sick as well.. I was so disappointed after falling in love with the breakfast sandwiches...open for their buffet which is absolutely the best!!! We love going here. You can sit and order from their menu, defiantly try the breakfast in the mornings; the fried chicken here taste just like your grandma made it, heck all the food did. It's just good ol down south comfort food. The staff are the sweetest most polite people I've ever met in a restaurant!! The place is clean the service is fast. If your any where close by i defiantly...

As we sat there over an hour waiting for our food, I hoped to god the photos from reviews were right on, and thankfully, they were. Food was incredible. Some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had. But the service was the worst I’ve ever had. The place was absolutely packed to the gills but only 3 waitresses. The ones up at the front of the restaurant ignored the tables in the back, and would look right at patrons trying to flag them down and walk away. No one in the restaurant was running food except the waitresses - or at least was the case for the one in the back. We witnessed 4 tables get up and leave before their food showed up. There were people working up at the front desk playing on their phones while all this was going on… not even handing out menus, and waving people to seat themselves. By the time we left every single table in the back of the restaurant was dirty and no one was busing tables. Our waitress kept disappearing for 10 minutes at a time so maybe she was the cook too. I’ve never seen anything like it. Next time we will just get a biscuit from the corner store down the street which my boyfriend kept begging to leave and go do. The bathroom was shockingly the cleanest place in the...

Not the greatest of food or coffee, and the service is tearable. Mind you this was a buffet visit, so the only job for the server was drinks. We waited at an empty counter to be seated in an almost empty dinning area for 10-15 minutes. After seating and placing a coffee order, we got our food and sat back down, and still waited for coffee. After finishing our first plates, we were told the buffet was closed, and needed to wait. When it did open up, breakfast was gone, not a word was said or posted about this. So, we asked for the check so we could just leave. We sat there for over 20 minutes and asked 3 more times for the check. This was a long 20 + minute wait, because we didn't even have any coffee do drink, yes that's right, we had one cup and not a single refill. So, for the first time in years, I was so dissatisfied both with the service and the food, I couldn't bring myself to garnish a tip, and even had trouble coming to terms on paying the bill. I would not recommend this place to anyone, not even someone I hate. I would say to go anywhere...
