Chicken Kitchen — Restaurant in Pinecrest

I typically don't do this, but I'm truly shocked by what happened. I placed an order for pick-up and as I arrived, the food wasn't ready. I politely asked the person who claimed to be the manager if I could add something to my order. However, instead of a helpful response, she replied in a sarcastic manner. I decided to let it go and told her that there was no need for sarcasm, as it was just a question. To my surprise, she became extremely aggressive and started threatening me, even mentioning her husband. I asked to speak to a higher authority, but she insisted that she was the manager and there was nothing I could do. I was in complete shock. I had paid for two meals, but she only gave me one and demanded that I leave before she called her husband. Essentially, she stole my meal. Feeling threatened, I left the premises. I am regular I eat here almost everyday never have I ever been in a position like this I am trying to get a hold of the owner or someone in a higher rank because this disrespect and threats are unacceptable especially in this neighborhood i usually come here with my kids thank god I didn’t today. I have never been in this position I don’t know if to call the cops because I paid for two meals I want what I payed for. Dirty, dirty, dirty. I used to eat here often, but starting about a year or so ago the entire culture of this restaurant and staff changed. Last week, we went in to get a carry out order, and 2 African American youths were working there. No gloves, no masks. Neither one was wearing even a uniform or company shirt. Just street clothes. And one had a hoodie with the hood pulled up over his head while making food. One was constantly rubbing his nose and touching plates of food and serving utensils. Again NO GLOVES & NO MASKS worn by staff! Filthy! The entire serving station and hot line was disgusting. Pieces of food scattered everywhere, spills and stains not cleaned, and chicken skin and chicken pieces scattered all over the floor in the front. We left without getting our order. This place needs to be shut down, cleaned, and inspected by the MDC Health Dept. How can the ownership allow this sort of public health danger to go on is sickening. Eat here at...

I have visited this location several times. Yesterday was the last time. The guacamole that was pre-prepped In the container with all of the other condiments was black. I had to bring this to the person’s attention who was chopping the chicken and also to a manager so they would throw it out. Why wouldn’t they see that this was not acceptable to someone ordering on an app who would have no idea? A tiny fly was buzzing around the pico de Gallo. Then when I went to pay, I noticed a small ant was crawling on the counter. This place needs a major cleanup. On top of that, the value for a small cup of chicken at $6.40 is outrageous. I will not be coming back. The owners of these franchises truly need to pay more attention to how these places...
