Today was my first day trying this restaurant, specifically with the intention of trying to find some new options for the executives at the company where I work, so they can have a new option for lunch.
I will be detailed in my review so as to be helpful .
I order lunch for our group a few times a month, and we are typically always using the same places because of the ease of delivery. Every once in a while, we'll do pick up, IF we can rely on the establishment to be accurate with orders and consistently on-time with preparation, preferably with their own in-house drivers. However, we recognize that that is becoming rare, and more establishments are using food delivery services (such as Uber Eats, Postmates, Grubhub, Doordash, etc.) But, as the largest employer in this area, you can imagine that at times we have a lot of meetings and picking up food isn't always an option. But ordering from the same spots, reliability and precerence can get tiring. So we would like to expand outside of the same place as we keep using and try new things.
With that in mind, I figured I would try Just Salad for the first time today by starting with a very small order for 3 that I could pick up on my way in to the office.
Most of our Executives prefer salads when catering is ordered for lunch, and that is what the two of them did today. The third order was for me to try out a wrap.
The order was ready and nice and cold on the shelf at the expected time, and I was greeted very friendly when I entered and was also shown to the shelf to pick up the order.
However, once I arrived at the office to start putting out the food for the executives and the first one opened & and looked at their salad, I could tell that they were not going to be happy. While I appreciate the "green" /sustainable containers, it definitely takes away from the presentation; yet, we wouldn't mind so much if the salad actually looked appetizing, and not like it wasn't thrown together. It turns out that it did, in fact, look like it was thrown together in both instances. Don't get me wrong, the ingredients clearly looked fresh and the bag was still cold, which I really appreciate. But you couldn't even see the chicken or any of the other ingredients on either of the salads when you first open the container. All you can see was a little bit of carrot and the greens. Perhaps once they mix them it was a little bit better but it certainly did not make a good impression at all. When you are competing with other local spots who are known for incredibly appetizing I'm a great looking salads, such as Giardino's, I don't think it's a risk that you can take to make sure that your salads don't look equally as appetizing and aren't filled to the top of the bowl. The meeting is currently going on so I will expect the feedback once they are done and will adjust accordingly. But at the moment I'm not expecting rain reviews.
Perhaps I can convince them to try to wrap next time as I have nothing bad to say about mine. In fact, I thought it was actually very good. The presentation & freshness was excellent, all of my customizations were made accurately, and I enjoyed it very much, so that's a plus. At least that will keep me interested in trying them again. But, not so sure for executives....

Wondering why you are seeing them growing all around South Florida, is because they are good and everyone can’t stop eating them. Go with any of their bowl selection, like the Tokyo 🗼Supergreen Tofu 🥗 (Supergreen Blend, Sliced Carrots, Edamame, Organic Sesame Tofu, Sliced Broccoli, Misio 🫚Ginger Vinaigrette), Chopped Mezze Salad (super green mix 🥬, onions 🧅, sliced tomato 🍅, feta, and olives 🫒) or my personal favorite Cilantro Lime Chicken 🍋🟩🐓( Feta, black lentil, kale, avocado, roasted corn 🌽, stacy pita).
They also offer wraps, and you can even customize your recipe 👨🍳) To superb the experience, top your choice with the Chipotle or Peanut 🥜thai dressing).
The ambiance is pretty chill, friendly ☺️and casual, perfect for catching up with friends or just getting up to speed with work!
But the very best is the housewarming service 💁🏼💁🏼♀️ provided by the lovely 💕team at the Pinecrest location! A loud shout 📣out to Ari, Melissa, Sofia, Dana, Eva, Suly, William, Raiza, Caroline, and Pedro, who made my experience unforgettable! Keep up with a...
Read moreI’m super excited about this place! I LOVE salads. As soon as I saw the sign from the street I knew I’d be visiting soon. I love the idea of buying the reusable bowl to bring on every visit. A) It’s only $1!?! B) So good for the earth!!! C) You get a free topping every time you bring your bowl!?! What??? D) If you bring your bowl on Wednesday you get any bowl for $5!!! Win! So for my first order I saw the fall menu on the digital screen and the picture of the “Farmers Basket” looked really good, so I decided to try it. It’s roasted sweet potato, roasted broccoli, quinoa, finely chopped kale, a hard boiled egg, and Earth Goodness (like green goddess) dressing. For my free topping I added avocado ($1.99)! The basket was super good. I love that they finely chop the kale, as it can otherwise be annoying to eat. I also loved the roasted vegetables and dressing. I look forward to going tomorrow (Wednesday) and getting a $5 bowl. I’ll try something different. My total was about $13 last time which is less than Giardinos salads, and I got a reusable bowl with a snap...
