We visited this restaurant on Sunday at about 2pm for lunch, it was not many people in, but only 1 waiter, who simed to be extremely busy serving, taking orders, and cleaning tebles all by himself poor guy. We were camming to this restaurant for many many years, and due to shelll fish alergies, we always asked to do shushi boat with fish only no shell fish, this time waiter said it will be upcharge to change to fish only, we said Ok and its usually $4 , but he return back and said its $15 upcharge, we call manager and women came, and said yes there is no substitudes allowed , and to change to all fish will be upcharge $15, on the item price $30 ridiculous. She also completely desregarded this change needed due to alergy to shell fish. So we decided not to argee with her, and asked to not substitute anything just bring the ahell fish pieces on the separate plate. At the end there was ONLY 2 pieses (1srimp, and 1emitation crab) , and to chage this 2 pieses due to alergy was a big deal of $15 upchrge. I belive it was complete disregard to my alergies, poor customer service, and just simple GREED . We ordered food for almost $100, received poor slow service, and food : Tomka soup came with no spices, we ordered 1 mild spicy, and 1 not spicy, so both arrived not spicy, when we told this to woman manager, she just bringed a plastic cup with hot peper, so my friend had to add it , and since she is not a cook, she did not know how much of it will make it mild spicy, and good she did not put all was in a cup, because as putting a bid was allready too much spicy. Also Pad thie was over salty , and raw fish sushi did not tast fresh.Overall expirience was terrible, the only good was a botle of Perrier. They were much customer friendlier place, and food was better quality. They undermind their customers who were dining there for over 20 years, not good for busnes. We were very unhappy with our food, and poor service, but manager she...
Read moreHaven't been to this place in years, moved away from Miami after Hurricane Andrew demolished my house. I've been coming to Sea Siam since they first opened in '85 with my whole family, let's clear up these bad reviews though, first of all people, this is a Thai food restaurant, and an authentic Thai food restaurant at that, not Japanese! Two different cultures!!! That being said, you wouldn't go to an Authentic Italian place and order a cheeseburger and beer, you would order the chicken marsala and a nice glass of wine! Order Thai food not Japanese, although I do love sushi, and the sushi being prepared there looked amazing! I still would not order the sushi! Second of all, they may close at 11pm, well I can tell you that being that I've worked in the food industry, and I've also eaten at alot of Asian restaurants, it's in their culture, you want good food and service, get there early, not an hr before they close, or 10min before they close! Who cares about the decor?! Really? People! Rating it because of that?! I care about the food in a restaurant, not the decor!!! It's actually pretty authentic Thai decor, and it hasn't changed since I first went there. I've eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants, none compare to Sea Siam! I was surprised to find out that they were still open after 31yrs, growing up I've never eaten Thai food as delicious as Sea Siam, I've eaten at Thai restaurants all up the East coast of Florida and the West coast of Florida, nothing compares to Sea Siam! I will definitely be back to Sea Siam on my next...
Read moreIt is with great disappointment that I write this review, as we have been loyal patrons of this restaurant, having spent upwards of $1,000 over the years. However, our most recent visit made it clear that this once-favorite establishment has dramatically declined in both service and quality.
The chicken dish I ordered was riddled with unpleasant cartilage, making it not only inedible but an affront to my expectations. The flavor, or lack thereof, was similarly disheartening—it was bland, poorly cooked, and left an awful aftertaste that lingered long after the meal.
To make matters worse, the service was equally dismal. Our waiter, was inattentive, rude, and made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. Her demeanor throughout the evening suggested a complete lack of care or hospitality.
When we brought our concerns to the attention of the manager we were met with indifference. Her dismissive attitude further cemented the fact that the restaurant no longer cares for its customers. Any sense of responsibility or desire to remedy the situation was utterly absent.
It’s sad to see a place we once cherished fall so far by the wayside. After this experience, we will never return, and I caution anyone considering dining here to think twice. It’s a tragedy to witness such a sharp decline in what was once a beloved...
