Anthony & Luca's Pizza Kitchen — Restaurant in Pinellas Park

I’m honestly not sure how this place is a 4.5 star… my husband and i were excited to try the food here. First time ordering and it wouldn’t let you call in. I ordered online. I got there at the time it said it would be ready and i noticed 8 people also waiting. Nobody was eating food and nobody was leaving with food. When the people walk in, nobody even acknowledges that you’re there. They just continue going about doing whatever they’re doing without saying hi will be right with you. On top of them being 30 minutes behind. They also don’t tell you that. We’re all just standing there like deer in a headlight trying to figure out what’s going on. Nobody wears gloves. Everything’s being touched with bare hands. I watched another guy drop something on the floor. Pick it up with his bare hands and continue to make the pizza. Every person in the building asked for refunds. When I asked for my refund that was made online, the guy said I don’t know how to do that and asked how much I paid and open the drawing gave me cash. UPDATE….. Brian followed up with me several times which is the sign of a great business person. He offered to make me another pie and we had it today. It was great, right amount of sauce, cheese and pepperoni! And the crust is authentic NY, Philly, NJ style crust. Give them a try you won’t be sorry and he stands behind his product. Disappointed. Saw the great reviews and so looked forward to getting an authentic NY pizza. Taste ok but definitely considering the price not worth the what I paid. I Paid for extra cheese and shouldn’t have. Sauce lacking. Don’t like too much sauce however I’d at least like to taste the sauce. Not enough pepperoni. Crust decent however a little too done on the bottom. Could be better if they put more sauce, cheese and pepperoni on. Considering I purchased a 13” pizza and paid $24.47 just not worth it. Sorry I wish any new business luck but they’ll need to step it up. UPDATE the owner did reach out to me and offered a new pie, great sign showing he really cares...

I hardly ever give negative reviews but I hope the owners will read this. First I believe the employees have good intentions but there isn’t too much they got right in the food order. ( I had no special orders) The pizza came out terrible, soggy and wet. One of the steak and cheese sandwiches almost had no meat. At the end of my CC transaction I declined a tip. When I looked at my receipt they charged me a $12 dollar tip for counter service after I already gave them a cash tip in their basket. ( I personally don’t believe you shouldn’t get a tip for taking an order but I do it anyway) So they gave themselves an unauthorized CC tip and I gave them a cash tip. My wife asked for hot pepper and they said find it on the table tops. They were all out of hot pepper. There were no managers around and counter was left unattended for long periods.
