Terrible experience today at this Wendy’s (8005 US Hwy 19N Pinellas Park FL) I place the order inside it took a good 15 minutes before it was my turn but that is to be expected it was around 1 pm. Purchased an apple pecan salad and went to eat it in my car. Half way through the salad I found a large bug !! I don’t know what it is maybe a beetle maybe a roach so needless to say I stopped eating the salad and went inside to see the manager. My intention was to pull the manager aside show him or her the bug and just get a refund but it didn’t go that way. The GM I guess didn’t want to bother with taking care of her customer so she sent her shift manager , this shift manager( Liz) as soon as I showed her the half eaten salad with the bug just said “I made that salad and that bug wasn’t there” and she said this twice took my salad and threw it away in a trash can behind the counter and just stood there looking at me I guess she just wanted me to leave. I didn’t appreciate being called a liar to my face specially after wasting my lunch and eating a salad with a pretty big bug in it. As soon as she saw that I was getting upset she just said if you’re going to have an attitude just leave I don’t want you here and she said that at least three times and then I said I want a refund and I asked for her GMs name because she was watching and listening but didn’t want to deal with the issue but Liz refused to give me her name. I told Liz that my review of this visit will reflect her poor customer service. It took a good while for her to get me my refund I guess customer service and keeping bugs out of salads she throws together are not the only things that she is bad at , cashiering as well. As she kept messing with the register she kept asking me “are you having a bad day sir” with a smirk on her face. This did not have to go this way. Very petty and by far the worst customer service I’ve encountered at a fast food restaurant. Needless to say I will never be back at Wendy’s and will make sure I tell everyone who cares to know about how Wendy’s managers treat people who spend their money...
Read moreFood was flavorless and bland.. Nothing like when I was a kid. Very disappointing as this was a decent fast food resturaunt in the area growing up. The employee over the intercom even seemed to try to detur me from ordering stating almost all there machines where down and only had a select menu to chose from with a pessimistic voice. I also sat in the parking lot attempting to log into the app to function beforehand for around ten minutes but to no avail. The app would not allow me to log in.. I noticed also that the place wasn't very busy and had very few customers or rush considering Wal-Mart parking lot being filled and wendys being apart of said parking lot and it being 5pm.. I ordered a baconator meal and a regular 6 peice nuggets and five minutes later as I sit down to eat I notice there was excess amounts of sauce but I'm not seeing any bacon so I check and there was actually bacon in there but only a couple slivers that where soggy and had no crunchy texture or flavor as one would expect. The meat was very bland and wasn't appetizing or appealing. The nuggets where very hard not soft and tender as before.. Fries where decent and the sweet tea is actually pretty good. Read moreI ordered using the Wendy's app for pickup. Arrived within 5 to 10 minutes of placing the order. Pressed the I am here button on the app and waited. And waited. And waited. No cars in the parking lot and only a few came thru the drive thru. After waiting on er 20 minutes I went inside. There was no one eating inside and only one person in line. I waited some more. After some time I was asked if I needed help and I explained that I had placed an app order for pickup and I was still waiting. The girl at the counter finally found my order on the screen and proceeded to get it together. The main reason for my trip to Wendy's was for a strawberry frosty. I was informed that there were no strawberry frostys. She asked someone else and they said no they were out and did I want a refund. I said I really wanted the frostys but I guess. She called for a manager. He came and looked at my order and said they can't give me a refund. I was confused. I can't have the frostys and he can't give me a refund. He explained that since I didn't order at the restaurant I would have to call the 800 number and get my money back. At this point that meant I was leaving with no frostys and no refund. Crazy.
