Absolutely horrific experience! Please stay FAR away from this company! They allowed someone to open a mobile phone line under my boyfriend’s account through Spectrum and the process to resolve the situation has been nothing short of a trip through hell. Someone literally forged his signature and they claim they require identification to open a phone line but clearly something happened where that wasn’t necessary. I severely doubt this person went through the trouble of getting a whole fake ID with my boyfriend’s name on it that could properly SCAN into the system (since apparently they need to scan it to open the phone line). The amount of back and forth between customer service representatives on the phone is absolutely ridiculous and the worst part is NONE of them seem to know what they’re doing! We will get a call one day saying that the phone line was never used so there’s no need to fill out the fraudulent packet or file a police report and then the next person who calls says the phone line WAS used and the fraudulent packet and police report must be filled out AND THEN the next person we speak to says that there was a “glitch” in the system and the phone line was never actually used…? The entire situation is extremely frustrating and confusing and it’s being handled EXTREMELY poorly. ESPECIALLY when it’s Spectrum’s fault to begin with! Not to mention, in the beginning of this mess, they tried to get my boyfriend to PAY for that line and to then report it to the bank as fraud! This company is a joke and a half and the employees working at the Pinellas location are of absolutely no help either which is so disappointing. I wanted to get a direct number to someone so that it could be handled more neatly and efficiently but they said that wasn’t possible and they were CLEARLY unconcerned about what was going on. All in all, Spectrum is a TERRIBLE company and you should take your business elsewhere. We definitely aren’t going to continue to use Spectrum’s...
Read moreWhat a shame that you have to give a company at least a one-star rating to be able to write a review, spectrum customer service on the phone and spectrum customer service in person at one of their stores is the most frustrating and unknowledgeable customer service people I have ever came in contact with in over 50 years of doing business in person and over the phone, one staff member from the next does not know what's going on from phone call to phone call they have a computer screen in front of them and if it doesn't show them something or they don't know how to work it the customer ultimately pays the price either in time wasted or in a bill that they do not deserve, I am one of those people I returned their equipment on the 20th of September and stopped my service and they still continue to bill me for service I do not have and for equipment that I do not have, going into a spectrum store location doesn't do any good I get the reason or excuse whatever they want to call it that them systems in the stores cannot go back that far, I started service on April 29th and the billing and customer service have never been on the same page or even close to being correct for what we signed up for, we signed up for basic internet and it has been a fiasco since the day that the technician came out to set it up 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 also I would not give them an ATM or debit card as they will continue to draw money from that card even though you returned their equipment and stopped their service months ago, they just cannot seem to understand you can't charge people for equipment and services they do not provide that was returned and yes I have read all the fine print on their well written and established paperwork conditions to terminate their service watch spectrum does the best is they know how to make money that is their bottom line customer service or satisfaction is...
Read moreAfter the storms, Spectrum services had taken a hit which we get. After three days of our internet getting fixed, we had called a field agent to come out. While he was a really cool guy to talk to, he only rains tests, told us it’s a higher up management issue with the internal servers, then left. Our modem was connecting just fine, but our router was shot. I would have thought he were to switch it. I went to their live chat, and the rep there seemed annoyed I was bringing this up. I tried everything multiple times, rebooting, unplugging, everything. Finally, the agent said, “You can swap routers for free, have a nice day.” And ended the chat. I really needed the WiFi because I have online school, so I seen my nearest Spectrum was 8minutes away, and they had closed in 10 minutes from that point. I managed to get there in about 5-6 minutes before hand, and as my boyfriend quickly jumps out and runs to the door, the worker closes it and locks it right in his face. I understand they closed very shortly at that moment, but not even acknowledging us at all or at least asking what we need was rude as hell. He could have easily told us, “hey, unfortunately we don’t have the time to help you today as it is a longer process, but we can happily assist you tomorrow.” Would have been MUCH more appropriate and acceptable. Then, they all ran to the back like scared mice until 8 pm hit, then the workers all scattered out to do their closing. The door incident really made me see how crappy the customer service was and this is my first time using Spectrum. Truly I don’t want to continue the service if this is how it will be each time an issue occurs and...
