I have been a long time customer at your Johnston Rd location in Charlotte NC. I had the absolute WORST, EMBARRASSING, HUMILIATING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE last night with your Acting GM Donald. His unprofessionalism, complete lack of customer service and pure attitude was absolutely unacceptable and disrespectful on all levels! I called in at 8:39pm to find out the status of our order that was placed at 7:09pm considering we live within walking distance of the store, he was rude, he was nonchalant like it was no big deal that we’d be waiting 99 minutes for our order, he stated “it’s just me and one other person”, sorry but that isn’t my problem, however I did offer to come pick our order up because I didn’t want to receive cold food. He refused to allow me to pick it up. When it was finally delivered everything was cold, the 2 large pizza with extra pepperoni, the garlic knots and the MEDIUM grilled chicken pizza was not only cold but it was a SMALL not a medium! My kids were starving by this point so I had them heat the pizza up in the microwave which is gross! But they did, but I took the supposed to be medium chicken pizza back to the store, where I waited for a good 15-20 minutes before anyone even greeted me, then we he did come to the counter I said “we ordered a medium and this is not a medium it’s a small so I’d like it remade”. He took the pizza box from my hand, tossed it behind him and stated “fine, but you’ll wait at least and hour and a half”. I told him absolutely not that is completely unacceptable when I already waited almost two hours to get my order and everything was cold the least you can do is pop one in the oven. He said “there are other people waiting!” I said “are they here? Did they place their orders at 7:09pm or before? Because if not I should be your priority in this moment!” He wanted to argue and said I’ll refund your money, I said ok great, thinking I was still waiting for my pizza. He said “what are you still doing here I gave you a refund?” I said “yeah which i assumed was for the inconvenience” te refunded amount was 7.13 when my order was $35 something and it all should have been replaced! I requested that he remake the pizza to then he asked me for payment? I had already paid never asked for a refund just asked that it be made in the correct size and that I not have to wait 90 more minutes. He was a complete jerk and customers at this point we’re aggravated with the situation and didn’t know what was going on so they began to heckle me, which not one time did he asked them to stop or please stay out of this.! I had to though, this is completely unacceptable and humiliating all for food we didn’t get, or we did but it was ice cold like it was made the day before! I do hope you can reconcile this issue because even when I called today to ask for the General Managers name the guy that answered said “ we don’t have one right now”, I said ok you store manager, “ we don’t have that either”, I said ok who is in charge, he said “ that would be the acting gm”, I said who is? He said “Donald “ I said ok thanks bc I had a very unpleasant experience, very embarrassing and left completely feeling like I had just been taken for my money, he said “ I’m sorry but that’s me”…are you kidding me? Like I have management experience and have ran hotels for 23 years and never would I allow any associate at any level to treat any customer like he treated me and got away with it! Read moreCan’t give zero stars so 1 star will have to do. After a VERY long day of driving, all we wanted to do was get home and have something come to us rather than cook. Easy fix, order a pizza. Turns out not so easy if you’re the Johnston Rd. Papa John’s. Ordered the pizza online at 7:15pm. At 7:40pm, the online tracker said it would arrive in 10 mins. It also said 10 more minutes at 8pm, 8:15pm, 8:30pm...so we called the store and were told that it was about a two-hour wait for delivery but that it should be “soon”. 8:45pm, still no pizza. We figured that an hour and a half was long enough to wait. We called the store, again, cancelled the order, and asked for a refund. We spoke to the manager, Alex. He was a nice guy and he did the refund instantly - thanks. However, if we’d had any indication that there would be a two-hour-plus wait, we would have ordered elsewhere. In the end, we ordered from another local company, went to collect it, and still managed beat the Papa John’s delivery because at 9:25, guess what showed up? We were already tucking into our hot and tasty slices from a competitor who was more than happy to have our business. After an hour and forty-five minutes traveling around in an air-conditioned car, how hot and fresh would our order have been, anyway? Will never, ever, EVER go back to Papa John’s. Read moreDelivery order for staff lunch was late. I called to check on the status of the delivery. Woman was extremely rude...the impression was that she didn't care at all. She told me that the delivery driver was on the way. Twenty minutes later (more than enough time for the driver to get here), I called again, got the same woman. She was very put out that I called again. She did void my order so I wouldn't have to pay. I appreciated that, but I could not believe how rude she was. The order was 40 minutes late, which is unfortunate for employees who spent almost their entire lunch break waiting for pizza that we were not sure was actually going to get there.
