Thomas Kinkade Gallery — Attraction in Pismo Beach

Made the mistake of walking in this store to ask what I thought was a general question. I asked ‘how does a person go about finding out the values of the Thomas Kinkade painting I own’. Quote unquote. Personally I expected him to say we take consignments or something along that line. Call me crazy evidently because he was exceptionally rude as he told me if I bought from him he would help me (he let me know he had been “in the business since 2001”). I bought my paintings prior and from the town I lived in during the 90’s. He shrugged over and over and then told me I was asking him to give me something from his experience and I wasn’t giving him anything back. In my experience with consignments he would get the negotiated amount of the price sold and all he would have to do was hang it on the wall or post a notice that he had them on consignment if they chose to see them. Esther was such a pleasure. We went in with our four daughters and she didn't bat an eye. My youngest is 3 so I kept trying to keep her in my arms and Esther said to put her down and let her enjoy. She talked with all of my children. Afterwards, we looked up some paintings online and decided we were not going to buy online. We will be back to Pismo and we will give Esther our sale.
