For my daughter's 5th birthday she picked Lucia's Bistro for Brunch as we walked downtown Pitman, unfortunately that was a huge mistake. When we walked up to go inside there wasn't any greeting but that happens sometimes so I didn't think anything of it. We were told to pick any table and someone would be out to help us. Our waitress Gianna came and greeted us. Took our drink orders and returned in about 5 minutes. Now when she came back we were ready to order until she informed us we could not order lunch bc it was before noon which was fine it was 1145. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches with home fries and for the birthday girl a plain pancake and a side of bacon. Around Noon the lunch rush started to stroll in and at 12 30 I noticed there were tables recieving their orders but we were not. Then at 1240 the breakfast sandwiches came out and at 1245 we were informed another table was given our pancake order and that because they had turned over to lunch our pancake would have to wait until those orders were complete. So I asked for the side of bacon we ordered to at least keep my daughter busy until then. I then said wait can we get a side of fries instead of the pancake. I was told yes sure but after 10 mins of being avoided and watching other tables recieve their meals I asked for the check. I usually try and be reasonable however I have NEVER dined where the children's food was not prioritized. There was no apology, no suggestion to keep us patronizing at the establishment, just the check handed and walked away from the table. My daughter sat at the table crying on her birthday this was just completely...
Read moreOn 1/28/23. I went with a friend to have breakfast. I ordered French toast. My friend ordered Chocolate chip pancakes and side of home fries. When we finally received our food, my 3 pieces of French toast were burnt and one was an end piece of bread. My friend received her home fries before her pancake which came without the chocolate chips. We waited for our waitress to come back and check on us but never happened. I finally had to stand up as proceed to go to counter. I called her back to our table to show her my order. I told her that I didn’t have time to wait for another order and would like this taken off and also explained that pancake didn’t have chocolate chips. She just stood there looking at me without a response until I said “well” and again her reply was that she didn’t know what to do. I told her to get the manager . We waited ten minutes and I called the other waitress over and was told that our waitress was in the back crying because she is calling the manager on the phone and is not answering as they are not allowed to take off entrees of the bill without authorization. I explained that I have someplace to be so when I stood up, our waitress handed me the bill and the other waitress said that I can either pay the bill or she will call the cops. Fortunately, for them and the quests in the restaurant, the manager called and said to take entrees off. I have never experienced such an unpleasant experience. I should have read the reviews before trying to...
Read moreLet me start this review on a positive note by saying the food is absolutely amazing! We were a party of 3 looking for a place to eat before a show We started off with Iced Cappuccinos (DELICIOUS!l) and a Ricotta Board. My only issue here is that I have a very bad allergy to Oranges. They decorated the board and layed a large orange slice across the top. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to eat it but I heard it was delicious. Merrimans, Martinis and Manninos were all booked. We walked past this place twice thinking it was closed. It's very dark and uninviting from the outside. We ordered the Pork Stromboli and Margarita Flat bread as entrees. Both delicious! Dessert was Tiramisu and Gelato. YUM! Now for the bad: Like I mentioned, it's not inviting from the outside. The service was extremely slow since they only had one waitress working. She was very unenthusiastic with no sense of urgency. From start to finish, we were there from 5:30 till 7:30. We had to flag her down to get our check so we wouldn't miss the show. My biggest disappointment....the credit card surcharge. The bill came to $122 for 3 people at a place that is basically an upscale pizzeria. I was shocked to see a $4.00 Surcharge added after I handed the waitresses my debit card. I can understand when places do this for low charges, but when dinner is over $100 it's just ridiculous. Even though the food was great, the latter will deter me...
