Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Pittsburg

I went there today to sit down and enjoy lunch as a busy mobile medical professional and there were 2 cashiers, both female, one a bit older and white and one a bit younger and black. I was in line behind a black man. They were both open, but the white cashier directed the black man in front of me to be helped by the black female cashier, which I thought was interesting. When it was my turn, I began to walk towards the older white cashier and noticed that a white woman had lined up behind me. When I got up the the white cashier she told me that I would have to be helped by the black cashier (who had busied herself with restocking or something nearby) and proceeded to call the white woman from behind me to help her. I told her that I was confused about that behavior because I was next in line and I asked her why she did not help me but instead directed me toward her coworker (the black cashier). Just in time the manager just so happened to be walking by and when I explained to him what happened he looked at the white cashier who confirmed that I was telling the truth. When I asked him what now, he said "all I can do is tell you you heard her side of the story and she said that you are telling the truth and offer you an apology." Then he tried to hurry off to the back (Jose is his name). I tried explaining it in a way that he might understand a little bit differently by letting him know that his white cashier is directing the black people to be helped by the black cashier while she is going out of her way and pulling white people from the line to help them. I asked him if he understood that that is not ok and he just shoulder shrugged and walked off while the black woman and other staff members and the other patrons offered me apologies and I paid for my food and asked for it to go. We are decades beyond that kind of behavior and each time someone does it and even worse someone else accepts it, it sets us as a society...

Let me start by saying this is absolutely the most absurd location to add a CFA. I avoided the opening months because of how ridiculous the 4 way traffic is over here, and now even worse parking. Ive visited a few times before and enjoyed the breakfast items. Last thursday 5/4/23 was a different story.

I pulled up to drive thru shortly after noon time, line was still decent. A couple people taking orders, 4, but only one was actually working. One finally stopped their conversation to take my order. I wasnt at the big screen so i couldnt see the menu. Apparently requesting to see the menu comes with complementary eye rolls, b!tch hip, while turning their tablet so i can see. Possibly the best interaction are the ones at the window that say bye to you.

Spicy Delux Chicken sandwich is an absolute gem of a sandwich. The chicken tenders had that desired crunch and flavor on the outside but tasted like soaped meat on the inside. Drink and sauces, were good. Not alot can go wrong there.

I honestly enjoyed my visits more at the Vacaville location, and in Yuma, AZ. This is a new location and this is already the set standard? I'll be going to the new brentwood Jollibee's instead. I'll be willing to give another chance, but its just been steady down hill...

This is the most chickenest of the chicken fast foods spots. The menu is simple, small & to the point. Do you want grilled chicken or fried🍗?? The sauces is what's important. So you have to try all to see what YOU like. I recommend the sweet & spicy siratcha. It tastes like a sweet & spicy teriyaki ginger sauce. The Polynesian sauce is good too, but it tastes like I sweet cinnamon sauce. It reminds me of Christmas 🎄 lol. The Buffalo sauce is more tangy & not too spicy. It reminds me of a water down version of Crystal hot sauce. It's kinda watery too. Then there's the "Pete's hot sauce" that has the cow boy on it. It's not very hot but is also "vinegary" as well. As for the chick-fil-a signature yellow sauce it's more like a BBQ & ketchup mixture. Not bad but not my favorite (just my opinion🙋🏽‍♀️). The chicken & veggies were fresh & didn't taste spicy like I was expecting. The customer service is great & so nice, even though a bunch of kids are running it lol. They seem to be doing a great job 👏🏽 👍🏽. The bathrooms & the inside dinner area was well kept & clean even though this place was packed.
