I only tried on two veils during my appointment and fell in love with one of them! I told Penny that I was worried that the color/length wouldn't match my dress, but she assured me they would be willing to work with me if it wasn't perfect so I went ahead and bought the veil. During that visit, I noticed a hole in the tulle. She told me they were going to repair it and check the rest of the veil to make sure it was in perfect condition before I picked it back up. After a few weeks she told me they looked it over really well and it was good to go so I made an appointment with my dress shop to try it on with my dress. The color/length were a good match, but I was very disappointed to find the exact same hole in the tulle that I pointed out when I bought the veil! I called Penny and told her that we found the same hole along with several others. She told me to bring it back in and that they would replace the tulle this time. I stressed three times to not change the color or length and she assured me they would not.
After a few more weeks the veil was ready for pickup again. I made a second appointment with my dress shop to try it on again only to find out that the length and width of the veil were completely different. The length was shorter by ~10" and very narrow. Even the stylist at my dress shop said it looked like a completely different veil. I reached back out to Penny regarding this and she asked, "What do you suggest now?". I mentioned how during my first appointment she said she'd be willing to work with me and that she could research other laces, etc., but she just told me, "let's do a refund. I won't find what you want." I was very taken aback by this as I have not been overly picky. She did not even ask what else I like/was looking for. It was extremely frustrating making five trips back and forth from Clarissa's due to their carelessness (not repairing holes, changing the length, etc.), in addition to two wasted trips to my dress shop. I am sure any bride can relate to how difficult it is to coordinate with inconvenient bridal shop hours.
Bottom line, I made five trips to Clarissa's, two additional trips to my dress shop, and wasted 2-3 months of time waiting for veil "repairs" only to be left with five months until my wedding and no veil. The only apology I received was, "Well, sorry it didn't work out. When's your wedding again? Oh, you have time." There was never an apology for the holes or the different length/width. The customer service and accountability was less...
Read moreI have so many good things to say about my experience with the staff at Clarissa Boutique! Through all aspects of wedding accessories (belts, jewelry, and alterations), the ladies at Clarissa's exceeded all of my expectations. My first purchase at the store was a custom belt for my MOH, who wore a black of the rack dress. They worked with me (and the dress) to figure out what would match my bridal gown, as well as the correct placement since my MOH lived out of town. Needless to say she looked extraordinary! The team sewed the belt into place, added custom beading, and even steamed the dress so that when I picked it up everything was ready to go. They truly go the extra mile for every bride! After this experience I knew that I needed to go back to Clarissa's for my bridal jewelry. I found the most beautiful headpiece for a high bun, as well as earrings for myself and the mother of the bride. With a 15% off coupon, everything was more than reasonably priced, matched my dress and style perfectly, and came in ahead of schedule. The final interaction that I had with Clarissa was for my rehearsal dinner. I purchased a hi-lo hem gown online that was significantly marked down. When it arrived, the fit was okay but a bit snug (bridal sizes are difficult). The ladies at Clarissa worked their magic and were able to transform my dress into something worthy of a wedding day, not just a rehearsal dinner! Not only did they adjust the fit, but they modified the hemline to perfection. For any alterations, accessories, gowns, or advice, visit the ladies at Clarissa. They were an absolute pleasure...
Read moreI would recommend Clarissa Boutique to any bride-to-be. I was searching everywhere for my dream veil and headpiece and no boutique that I went to had what I was looking for. I saw a recommendation for Clarissa's on Facebook and decided to go check it out. I made an appointment for a stylist consultation because I wanted some help finding my dream accessories. I had Penny for my consultation and she helped me create my dream look for my wedding day. She was able to find me the perfect headpiece and some jewelry that matched it perfectly! I was having a hard time finding a veil that I loved, so she asked if I wanted to design my own. I was skeptical at first because I thought that it would be outrageously expensive, but Penny reassured me that we could make something within my budget. I explained and drew out what my dream veil would like and then I got to pick out the crystals and the exact shade of tulle that I wanted. After a couple of weeks, I got a call that my items were ready to pick up. When I arrived, I got to try everything on and finally see my custom veil in real life. To say that my expectations were surpassed would be an understatement. I was honestly blown away. My veil was made exactly the way that I had been picturing it in my mind since I was a little girl. I couldn't believe that my vision came to life! I could not be happier with my accessories from Clarissa Boutique and I am SO glad that I went there. Their prices beat any other boutique out there and their customer service is the best around. I can't recommend them...
