Blue Moon — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

Went in and bartender was outside smoking and was conversing with others within six feet — maskless. Wasn’t greeted but me and my boyfriend just decided to use the bathroom before sitting down.

The whole place is very small and only seats a few people. 15 max.

A few minutes after we had sat down at the table, we were finally approached by the same bartender — still maskless — who, at this point, had left the bar completely unattended for the whole time we had been there. We were not greeted warmly. We were not thanked for our patronage. We were told that the bartender needed to see our IDs. Okay. Fine. That was understandable since me and my boyfriend look pretty young despite being of age. Before we could even pull out our IDs we were informed that they were only serving people who had been vaccinated against COVID. Also not a problem as me and my boyfriend have both been vaccinated. However, my boyfriend had left his vaccination card at the rental — a 45 minute bus ride away.

At this point, I said that I understand and we walked out of the bar.

Note, however, that for all the people inside the bar who had not been served drinks because the bartender had left to smoke, each of them were maskless and socializing.

So, from my entire experience of the Blue Moon bar, if one is looking for a small, crowded venue with cold, unfriendly staff, and poor lighting and atmosphere, who is selectively enforcing COVID-19 guidelines, the Blue Moon will be the perfect...

Driving through and wanted to go to a gay bar and found this one had great reviews and was having a drag show. So I thought I'd give it a try. First, the people when I walked in were super nice. That was the extent of the friendliness. Couldn't get a drink at the front bar for the life of me because there was no room to even walk, let alone order a drink. Walked to the back and saw there was a bar but the person wasn't serving drinks so I couldn't tell if it was an actual serving bar or not. (Been to plenty bars where the 2nd bar wasn't always a functional one). So I asked the person back there if they served drinks and if they could start a tab back there. And they were absolutely rude. Gestured to the bar saying "uhhh yeah..." And "I told you I could do that". So I ended up just walking out. I rarely post bad reviews, but I couldn't not leave one with the horrible "service" I received. I'm sure most people there were nice people. But that bartender in the back today March 11, 2023,...

Just spent over $20 on drinks and pool within an hour before stepping outside because I couldn't find my friend who was just inside minutes ago. He wasn't allowed back in because the door person said they were at capacity even though we both had our credit cards on tabs and we both stepped out just for a second to get some fresh air since there was no other place. They literally just let out 10 people before me and didn't let that many in between me leaving or coming back in. I still wasn't allowed back in after informing the person I just stepped out minutes ago. I'm a security guard at Ohio's largest gay night club AKA the largest gay nightclub in the Midwest and I would not recommend anybody to ever come to this bar.....EVER.
