Response to Owner: Ya and yes, YIKES! First read more closely! Reviews are from TWO different first names. TWO pies, TWO family households, TWO pies that were burned and dry. Pieces of charred old crust from the bottom of both and the top crusts were black-like eating coal. One household pitched at least half their pie. The other put 5 slices in the frig (morning after picture included) which will end up being pitched -- SAD to have wasted our time, hard earned money and food! Frankly, I don't own any business but I know people who do and I know this: no matter the business size, the volume of customers and orders--there are NO EXCUSES! IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS and REPUTATION, you produce quality every time and neither pie we purchased should have left your shop! And, don't assume! While it appeared one order to you, two pies went to two households. Two pies barely edible--come on? If the other 3 household members were younger & tech savvy, you may have ended up with 5 negative reviews! You say mistakes happen? A mistake basically two times in a row? That margin of error is high if you want to succeed in a small business. We do not live close, traveled to give your food a try. As an owner, you need to be humble, take criticism constructively, not attacking, and work on your own product to ensure future customers don't have the same experience! We would not ask, nor would we want anything else from you--NO refund, NO other food! Sorry, if the truth hurt -- your food did not deliver. Perhaps you should use these TWO reviews (from TWO different family members) as a tool to make your small business better! Wishing you the best of luck in your small business but the review & opinion stands. Very disappointing experience, definitely won't be returning. Original Review: Bought 2 pies for dinner. Yuck sums it up. Barely no sauce and burned. Very disappointing won't give thus place a second try because it was that disappointing.

*updated July ā€˜25 review Lupo has changed a bit. It now feels like a Pittsburgh style pizza that leans New York. And I love it. Crust is well done and surely thought out, but now has a bit more heft. Still leans thin, just no longer unadulterated ny style. Call it New York plus. Cheese is also a bit more generous than typical New York style, hence the pgh influence. And Love the added fresh mozzarella. Sauce and everything else tasted great w nice flavor and clear quality. In our new pgh pizza world, with rockaway in regent, i feel this place has now earned best of pgh. It feels like they have merged ny and pgh worlds in the best way possible. I don’t know how and why this shift happens, or if it’s a one off fluke, but I’m a big fan. **Original 4-star review*** fantastic ny-style pizza, probably the best of that style in the city alongside maybe pizza davide or badamos. quality, thoughtful, well cooked. crunchy yet chewy, tomato'y sauce, not too much cheese, light a bit 'bougie' with 'modern toppings' on par for lawrenceville vibes which some might be into, some not. note imo they do this very well only critique. while being a fantastic ny style that would stand up in brooklyn as a great pizza, it feels like it left its pgh roots along the way. like its trying to be that, and it left its home. it does it very well though. a bit of symbol to what's happened to lawrenceville as a whole

My two boys and I were in town for a one day trip to visit PNC park from Detroit. Being a baseball family we enjoyed the park/game, and after we wanted to try some local Pie.

Searched the web, watched a Portnoy pizza review, and we zeroed in on Pizza Lupo.

Here we go: left the hotel, drove through vintage streets of the nostalgic town, we pull up, walk in blind, only to be graciously welcomed by a wonderful staff.

Small pizzeria, with an old school vibe, and I was blown away how they treaded us like we were joining their family. Not fake, REAL CARING PEOPLE. Passionate about their trade, and even more of the quality.

As we waited, we had great conversations with the staff, seen numerous pies coming out fresh from the oven, and what made me very happy was the number of people coming in and out to get their own orders. That told us we were in for something special.

Wondering how the pizza was?? It was what we had hoped it was. No flop, crisp, and delish. Boys had the cheese and pep, and I had the white pie, which was amazing. If you like Iced Tea, grab one of the jugs out of the cooler. Another great choice.šŸ‘šŸ»

I want to thank you all for putting the cherry on top of a great day. Nothing makes me happier than to see a successful family owned business with happy employees working there.

Keep doing what you guys are doing. The locals are very fortunate to have such a great place to go. I wish your establishment nothing but continued...
