Clean Juice — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

I have had pleasant experiences in general. Last time, they prepared the wrong smoothie and threw away the wrong one. I would have preferred being asked if I wanted the one that was made and being offered a free one on a later date. That would have prevented waste and I wouldn’t have had to stand there waiting for another smoothie. I doubt that happens often, so not many free smoothies would be given away. It also incentivizes my return. I would likely buy something else when using the smoothie voucher. The cost is the same to Clean Juice, either throwing away or giving away a smoothie. The staff were friendly and apologetic. It was a nice day but they had the outdoor seating inside. Most of the time I get a pleasant greeting when I enter, sometimes it’s like I’m invisible, but maybe that’s been on busier days. I get the garden wrap every time because it doesn’t contain any animal products and I want something I can eat quickly - not a salad. The wrap is usually small, but was uncharacteristically larger and filling last time. I would not recommend a wrap if you require larger - or even typical - portion sizes. Way WAYYYY too pricey, small portions and the employees see way too nonchalant; with the three of them that were there, not one of them seemed thrilled to be there, weren't friendly at all, didn't say hi or anything else to be welcoming. This was my first time at a place like this and my friend visits frequently. She placed her order and I stood at the end of the counter waiting. While I don't expect a whole big dissertation on how they make their drinks or anything of the sorts, they didn't even acknowledge me and even more shockingly, they didn't even acknowledge my friend who'd spent $12 on some tiny little detox drink. They don't have many decorations but, they certainly push buying in to their franchise and how the owners are just oh so "wealthy and successful and a power-couple," and this is just tacky and in SUCH poor taste in my opinion. Putting something like this in one small area is fine but, to put it on flyers, on the wall, on the counters and in a couple other places is just disgusting. I am head over heels IN LOVE with Clean Juice! I am in usually 2-3 times per week and have basically tried everything on the menu at this point. I am never disappointed with the products OR service from Clean Juice East Liberty! The location is fabulous for me and I always seem to be able to find parking, too! Which is such a plus for the store being in the city!

The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful when making a decision. My first experience with Clean Juice East Liberty: I called first thing in the morning hoping to do a juice cleanse that same day (they usually recommend giving 48 hour notice so they have the juices in stock) and one of the super friendly staff members walked me through the process, told me what the expect and explained which juices were in each cleanse so that we could find the best fit for my current needs! I ended up being able to pick up my cleanse THAT MORNING. The owners and staff here are always going above and beyond for their customers!
