I hate to rate the bar a 1 star. However, the bartender at Dee’s, an older woman with a long gray ponytail has been an absolute nightmare to my mother who patronizes this place as of late. I went in recently to talk to her as I’ve also been patronizing this establishment. I’ve developed a great rapport with this woman and tip her extremely well. I would have never thought she was the woman that my mother has told me has been essentially bullying her each time she goes there for simply asking questions. Upon letting her know the tiny woman that looks like me that just left is my mother, she got very defensive and doubled down on her complete unprofessional and rude behavior. Her justification was that she was asked about food options twice and asked for a wet napkin. As a fellow business owner on Carson Street, I would never have a person working for me that treats well paying customers in such a degrading manner.
Side note: I’ve asked around about her, and many people have expressed that she has a solid reputation of being rude...
Read morebartenders are extremely rude and they seem to have lied about a situation that happened and I’m under the impression that I was barred and had to talk to the owner after about a month I finally call and she’s there the only problem is the bartender wouldn’t give the phone to the owner so to me it seems like the owner doesn’t even know of the incident because as they told me to speak to her(owner) and I told her my name (bartender)she immediately changed her whole demeanor on the phone I didn’t even get to speak to the owner I also went to the bar the next night after I was supposedly barred and I was let right in and I go back again the bartender and doorman from the incident before make me leave and to call the owner makes no sense to me I’d be wrong to say what I think is really up with the workers...
Read moreI used to frequent Dee's a lot when I was in my 21 to early 30's, 8+ years ago. Was in there the 1st time in 6 six years a few weeks ago. It hasn't changed, minus bar tenders. It's a nice dive bar with a bar on 1st floor and 2nd. A great place to unwind, with excellent service. It can get really crowded in there. It draws a diverse crowd of trendy hipsters, rockers, punks, metal heads, and all sorts of people in between. There are pool tables and dart boards down stairs, plus pool tables, pin ball machines, and a pin pong table upstairs. I would give them more stars, but I hate being in smoking bars, especially when they don't have good ventilation. You will end up smelling like an ash tray after...
