Patiently waited over 25 min to get 10$ latte and left a tip, when I got my drink it was very milky and clearly made wrong, I took it to the barista and explained the issue she instantly got smart and said well go to the back of the line and pay for another shot, I explained I was there the day before and it didn’t taste that way so clearly it’s just needs remade WHY WOULD I PAY AGAIN AND IT WAS NEVER MADE CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME! the worst customer service I’ve ever gotten and if you read other reviews you’ll see that it’s a very common thing that they make drinks too milky, I would have been treated better at a chain coffee shop at least they remake your drink with out the hassle and attitude! Wish I could get a refund, Never coming back
UPDATE I didn’t just say “give me another shot” I explained to your barista that it wasn’t made right I even told her I came the day before got the same exact drink and it didn’t taste milky, she still gave me the same response in a completely rude way. Part of the reason I asked for an additional shot is bc they were so busy I thought it would have a been much less of a hassle then to remake an entire drink! Your employee got smart for no reason at all. When I approached the first barista she was busy & didn’t have any attitude she gave me the same response but didn’t point her finger to the line and try to embarrass me. I only left the first time bc I actually felt bad to complain while it was so busy but I thought about it and didn’t think it was fair to just deal with it especially when my request was unreasonable if I explained the problem… if a customer says there drink is milky that obviously means it’s made wrong. why can’t it just be fixed if it’s less inconvenient for both parties? Why did no one offer to remake????…. Regardless I didn’t come up with an attitude she did and that isn’t a good look or right to treat someone that way, I think your worker was too busy and overwhelmed to fix the mistake but that doesn’t excuse all the theatrics and the fact you are excusing it says a lot about your business practices and mindset as an owner! I couldn’t care any less where you get your coffee beans from, if a drink is milky and your coffee is so great then obviously it’s made wrong.. the lack of accountability is truly concerning. Also find a better way to provide straws, everyone digging their hands into one bucket of uncovered straws is...

I thought I’d try Delanie’s Coffee on Southside for a nice pick-me-up, but instead, I got a cup of moldy water pulled from the depths of Santa’s sack on a sweltering August afternoon. I don’t know how they managed to make coffee taste like wet cardboard mixed with regret, but they’ve definitely cracked the code. The flavor lingers like a bad breakup text—unwanted and entirely unnecessary.
The service? Oh, it’s an experience. The employees greet you with the enthusiasm of a cat that’s been forced to wear a sweater. It’s a level of fake politeness so thick you could spread it on toast. When they ask what you want, it sounds like they’re trying not to scream internally. And don’t even think about customizing your order. Asking for a little more milk is like asking them to move a mountain. They’ll sigh deeply, roll their eyes like they’re auditioning for a soap opera, and move at the speed of a sloth who just discovered the joys of napping.
And the coffee… I can’t stress enough how it tastes like it was brewed using water that’s been sitting in a damp shoe for a week, then filtered through a sock. It’s like drinking a puddle that was left on the floor of a wet basement, then served by someone who looks like they’ve lost the will to live and has taken it out on your espresso.
Delanie’s, if you want customers, maybe try making coffee that doesn’t taste like it was scraped from the bottom of a swimming pool and train your staff to pretend they like their jobs—because right now, it’s like being served by a robot with a bad attitude. 1 star, because I feel like that’s the lowest rating I can give without offending...
Read moreDefinitely one of the better coffee shops in the South side. I don’t travel to South side that often, but I did to try out this cafe and I wasn’t disappointed. The space itself is massive and spread over two floors with a cosy seating area with books and couches on the second floor and more casual and bright seating area on the first floor. I got the masala chai latte, which was exceptional albeit a tad too sweet for me. I did not realise that the tea itself would be sweet, so I asked them to add honey to it and I think that made it too sweet. Also, the honey wasn’t mixed properly because it was a cold beverage and most of it deposited on the bottom, making the bottom, 1/10 of the latte very very sweet. I wish they had made a simple syrup with the honey and added it instead. The barista were really sweet as well and very helpful. I could see all kinds of crowd here, including people who were working on laptop and other people who were just chilling and chatting with friends. I’ll definitely come with some friends next time because they have board games that you can borrow, and the atmosphere is perfect to hang out with your friends. I didn’t really try anything from the food menu because I wasn’t particularly hungry, but everything looked...
