Unfortunately zero stars isn’t an option. Beer is mediocre at best. When compared to the other breweries in Pitt there are better more interesting options. The real reason for the review is the service. I was attending a going away gathering for a co worker. At 6pm on Friday there was maybe 20 people in the brewery. My wife and I attended with our 5 month old son. Only intending to stay for a quick pint or two. Our son was asleep and attached to my wife. She was neglected when approached the bar for a tiny half pour beer. They then proceeded to tell her she wasn’t welcome because at an arbitrary time of 8pm the bar turned 21 and over.
Our group had a nice chuckle given the lack of crowd and how quiet the baby was. In no way would we bring the baby to a crazy crowded environment to disrupt business. We however have had many visits to other family friendly environments in the city. Grist house who we’re e personal friends with, Stick city brewing, also friends, and many others. Managerial reasons aside we paid our tab and finished out the evening quietly with our friends before leaving with our son. My entire group was very vocal in saying this was the last time any of us would visit the establishment. 3 of the individuals live a stones throw away. Too bad to lose business that way. If the bar was crazy crowded we would’ve picked another location. Now we know. Better options available that are family friendly and welcoming. Best of luck with your brewery. You have stiff...
Read moreThis has gradually become our favorite brewery in Pittsburgh. It's a great space with outdoor options, especially if you want to bring your dog along. There's a good variety of beers on tap and a few in cans to go. We've tried a wide variety from the sours to the stouts over the past few years, and I can't think of one that has disappointed. My favorite is their Dream Cannon #2: Black and Blue, a sour fruited with blue berries and black raspberries, but no matter what kind of beer you prefer, you will probably find something to like there. They usually have food trucks on site. I really appreciate that they're close to the main drag in Lawrenceville, but they're set back on a little side street, so it's actually a little quieter back there, making it a nice place to just chill...
Read moreEleventh Hour is a hidden gem off the main drag of Lawrencville. They offer a nice selection of beers and a chill atmosphere. I first came here for one of their popular trivia nights and had a great time with friends. They always putting together fun activities!
I researched dozens of places in Pittsburgh to host an event and decided to go with Eleventh Hour from my prior experiences. They have a nice large room off the main bar that has dozens of barrels and hanging lights. We brought in minimal decor and had an incredible atmosphere. Brian answered all the questions I had over several weeks and worked with me on some special requests to make the day perfect. A great place to grab or beer or host an event...
