Gryphon's Tea — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

I went to Gryphon's Tea yesterday, and the aroma of tea blends upon entering the store was intoxicating!!! Miss Je'Amour was kind enough to allow me to smell a plethora of tea to find exactly the best mixtures for me. And the tea was incredible. I had no idea the differences in the many teas that they offer and also the magic of tea culture! Not only did I leave with four different varieties of Tea which I've enjoyed today but I also left with a great deal of knowledge about how to brew each blend to perfection. I’m obsessed with them. It all started at the Pittsburgh Home Show. I’m always looking for tisanes for my Mom because she is super sensitive to caffeine. The ladies then introduced me to rooibos (also caffeine free) and I took home their Winter Solstice which Mom loves. Then there are the teas for me - My personal favorite is their Toasted Chestnut. I think it’s the best tea I’ve ever had. I’m also partial to their London Fog. However, whenever I order I always try one or two new teas and I’ve liked every one of them. I love this place. Everyone who works there knows their tea! It's such a treat to find a specialty shop that also has specialized people who care about what they sell and take a particular interest in their wares. They always have what I need and if I come up with some random, rare thing that I want to try, they always come through for me. Sorry for going on and on, but these people are really fantastic- tea has been around for thousands of years, but Gryphon Tea finds new ways that you can enjoy this ancient beverage.
