Hello Bistro Oakland is at a great location the hours are great the food options are very different a lot of toppings but I find that the staff is overworked with poor management I went to hello Bistro on a Sunday it took me 45 minutes to get a burger and fries the girl at the register didn't know anything about the menu or combo . I tried to use a coupon from the hello Bistro app I downloaded she told me she didn't know how to apply it I told her never mind she also kept looking at her phone while I was getting my order taken. What get my food the ketchup and Ranch they were out of the ranch that at love also the apple cider tea was empty next to the other empty green tea next to a tea that tasted funny that was completely full. The tables where you get your drinks napkins and called it it was filthy for the garbage all over it I can see the steel table be very easy to keep clean I love the look of hello Bistro even the web order takeout wall Very spacious and comfortable seats the lighting is beautiful the musical is cool and the joke's on the waiting number or funny. What the problem is these young people are overworked underpaid so the small things about hello Bistro fall to the Wayside. It's a shame because it's a great restaurant a great With healthy food options I feel like I could eat there every day :).......... but the management in the team their needs a...
Read moreI'd give them a negative if I can. Every and I mean everytime I go in there there an issue. I work in Oakland and like a horrible boyfriend that you keep giving another chance to hoping they fixed themselves- is my experience with Hello Bistro. Today it took 10 almost 15 minutes for premade soup- With NO ONE in front of me. #HowSway? This after messing up prior online orders I made, 20 minutes to make an on demand salad-forgot to make items on online order, disregarded time suggested for pick up to make when I got there (whole point of suggesting time online was to have it ready when I got there- not make it when I get there) I mean like I said- everytime I have gone there.... They move with no sense of purpose or no consideration for the fact most people coming in there are in a high paced timed positions. When you look into the kitchen- workers on phones- although one person making salad and a long line. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I am so glad as well as several of my colleagues that Root natural kitchen opened...

As someone who works right down the street it's been incredibly disappointing to watch the steady decline in the quality of service and food due mostly to management being absent in the last year or so. This place used to be great, but they seem to have adopted the attitude that there will always be enough new people in the area to keep business afloat despite cultivating a horrible atmosphere. No matter how nice you try to be to the staff, everyone they've hired in the last year is pretty overtly annoyed to have to pause their side conversation to make a salad.
I'm pretty sure if the Eat & Park management secret shopped this location they would be mortified.
Oh, and don't even get me started on the sloppy procedures at the salad bar - cross contamination everywhere, and they pull tubs out of the chilled water in a way that drips the chilled water all over everything else - and who knows how often the chilled water supply is refilled or...
