On March 3rd, I placed an order through Uber Eats for Chicken & Waffles with an extra chicken finger and extra butter. However, when I received my order, it only contained three chicken fingersâtwo that come with the meal and the additional one I paid forâbut no waffles or butter. Instead, there was a note stating, "Sorry, no waffles," yet I was still charged the full price.
I reached out to Uber Eats for assistance, but they were unhelpful, leading me to cancel my membership. I then contacted the restaurant directly and was informed that their waffle maker was broken, which is why they couldnât fulfill my order. I explained that this was unacceptable, as I had paid for waffles and extra butter, and there was no indication that waffles were unavailable when I placed my order.
I requested to speak with a manager, but none were available at the time. An employee named Deshaun took a message and assured me that the manager, Daniel, would contact me the next day. Two days passed with no response, so I called again. Deshaun answered, apologized for forgetting to pass my message along, and promised to do so the next day. However, I still received no call. Since then, I have repeatedly tried calling, but no one answers, and my calls go ring and go to voicemail.
I also submitted a complaint through the corporate website but have yet to receive a response. This level of customer service is completely unacceptableâno one is taking accountability, and it seems like my concerns are being ignored. I expect a resolution...
Read morePretty good fried chicken, and phenomenal waffles. The chicken is nicely crispy and seems to be freshly prepared per order, and is pretty heavily seasoned. It could use a bit less salt and MSG (nothing against reasonable MSG usage, but it was just a bit overpowering at times), and the "Damn Hot" chicken is some of the spicier food we've found in Pittsburgh, about comparable to the off-menu spicy level 6 at Noodlehead. Would recommend getting a slightly lower heat level since the "Damn Hot" spiciness ended up covering the other flavors in the chicken and breading as it built up, though it was pretty tasty to begin with.
The waffles are very light and fluffy, though a bit sweeter than I was anticipating. It's got some sort of vanilla flavor that pairs well with the maple syrup. We made the mistake of ordering both the chicken & waffles and the concretes (they were okay, nothing too special but still tasty--they were generous with the toppings), which ended up being a bit too much sugar for one sitting.
Atmosphere-wise, I really appreciated the tent-like thing they put outside the door that prevented a lot of cold wind from coming in, seeing as I was sitting right in front of the door. Overall, it's a good place for...
Read moreDamn hot is no joke, itâs one of the hottest thing I have ever consumed and I am a guy who normally gets 10+ when I order anything spicy like Thai for instance.
The chicken itself was cooked really well and for the 3-4 seconds I could still taste it the chicken was juicy and tender.
The heat of damn hot....letâs talk about this for a min if you are not someone who regularly consumes extremely spicy food you will not make it. This was the first time in many years I have consumed something so intense that I got light headed, my ears started to ring and I get insane hiccups. Reminds me of when I ate two Carolina reapers straight up in its intensity and given how I responded to eating these tenders I am thinking they may have used some dried reaper in the blend or another pepper in that class, perhaps it was the high level of salt that amped up the heat. If you have ever had Daveâs Insanity Sauce itâs hotter than that and hits your mouth with extreme intensity for a good 5-10 min.
Water will not tame it, milk is laughed at, ranch...? Nope nothing but time calms down the heat.
If you are a person like me who enjoys the pain of extreme heat you will love this but be ready!
Also your backside will sizzle...
