Jekyl & Hyde - Pittsburgh's Halloween Bar — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

I had wanted to come to this bar for years and finally made a plan with a group of friends to come here on a Saturday night. We came in and the door man and bartenders were very friendly and I liked the decor a lot. The drinks we got were fairly priced. There was one TV playing sports and the other had some random sitcom on it which I found odd, I had assumed they would have horror movies or some other kind of Halloween related thing playing but we were there with friends and didn't really care about watching the screens. The thing that we were most displeased about was the music. The DJ was playing music that had no common theme, randomly switching back and forth between bad popular rap music and awful early 2000s dubstep and EDM at way too high of a volume to have a conversation without yelling with no attempt to properly mix his songs or beat match. It wasn't the ambiance that we expected at a Halloween themed bar. We hung out for a while and waited to see if it got better but couldn't take it any more and left after only one drink. I’m from Colorado and was just visiting my friends for a girls night out. We decided to stop here because all of the reviews seemed amazing and it seemed like the perfect place on a Saturday night for a group of girls to just hang out. The girl who was bartending was absolutely atrocious. She wouldn’t let us open separate tabs, and would not let me pay with card for my drink. She rolled her eyes at us when we kept trying to tell her we were paying separately and still handed us the bill all together and said “you guys can figure it out.” She had jeopardy on the entirety of us being there/no music on, and the vibes were super awkward. The bartender was a bit mean. I visited the place with my boyfriend and we were the only asian couple there and she completely ignored my boyfriend and made him wait for more than 10 mins while taking other people’s orders that came after us. I had to go up to her and ask when she could take our order and she said something and i was like “fine it’s okay” and she literally said “your welcome” and she continued to take other people’s order and i had to call her again and ask if she can finally take our order. I dont know what was up with her but she was completely ignoring us in purpose. Other than that, the vibe of the place is nice, drinks are cheap but dont expect to get drunk...
