Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

This was my first visit to this store. I was very impressed with the experience. The staff was friendly and efficient. While I was there, one of the employees had to defuse a situation with a delivery driver. He was complaining about the speed of service and she politely but firmly assured him that his order was important and would be completed shortly. He left the store but the employee kept her composure and did not allow the event to overshadow her attention to her job and other customers. I especially appreciate that she didn't comiserate with her fellow employees or make any derogatory comments about the situation. The buffalo chicken sandwich was delicious and fresh... The perfect amount of "heat". The restroom was immaculate and well attended. The dining room was well arranged and tidy. My only disappointment was no free parking. I usually visit the store on McKnight Road so I guess I'm spoiled. I highly recommend this store and would not...

Decent fast food sub, you know what you’re going to get. Service didn’t feel super welcoming. I didn’t get a slip for my hoagie but the two people ahead of me did. Did notice they cut meat and cheese on the same slicer without cleaning in between- which is just a no go at most delis, but eh, Jersey Mike’s is a chain.

I told the cashier what I got. Regular tuna sub and chips and showed him the chips. What seemed to be a manger of the shop came up, took the chips out of my hand, without asking me, showed it to the cashier and then placed it in a bag. When asked if I got cheese I said no. He seemed physically annoyed when he saw that the cashier had already completed my check out and wouldn’t hand me my order until he got confirmation from the sub maker that there wasn’t cheese. As a woman of color trying to get a mediocre sub, can’t imagine why I got this type...

If you order online- don’t trust the time they give you for pick up as it will most certainly be, at minimum, 20 minutes longer than that. They get orders completely wrong almost every single time. You’d think you wouldn’t need to unwrap your sandwich before you leave to make sure it’s right every single time, but trust me- you need to or you’ll get home and it will be a completely different sandwich. Or it will literally be bread with just meat, cheese, and absolutely nothing else despite being very clear while ordering. It’s very disorganized and most of the people who work there are rude- and will treat you even worse when you point out they got your order wrong.
