Millie's Homemade Ice Cream — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

I must say, I am a car guy and I had no idea what to expect going into a pink colored place called Millies.. But I must admit, I am very impressed and obsessed with this place now after my first visit!!! It is a nice place for everyone of all ages and genders. First time coming to Millies and I was blown away as soon as I walked in the door. The space is huge, well lit and has a beautiful color theme! When i arrived they were having an "open mic night" so it's very cool that they are involved with their local community and having events there!

Let's not forget about the main part of the experience. THE ICE CREAM!! I sampled their newest flavor (red velvet cake ice cream). I'm not a super huge red velvet fan, but that was their newest flavor so I had to give it a try, and I was not disappointed! I also found out that they get their ingredients from local suppliers which is amazing to see more community involvement!

Jason and Martina are amazing super friendly people, It was such a pleasure to meet them and have the opportunity to do some business with them. I look forward to coming back to Pittsburgh and seeing the new Millies Ice Cream Van soon!! If I could give 10 star review - this place and these people definitely...

I came here with a friend earlier in the day, a little after noon. The lady who's name I failed to catch was pleasant and helped us figure out what our options were as first time customers. Service was quick and simple and I appreciate her patience when I struggled with the card reader machine.

The ice cream itself was solid, not the soft serve variety. So if you like it old fashioned this is definitely your place to go. The price was more than fair I think for a homemade ice cream composed of natural ingredients as the two scoops in a dish I got came to around $6, and I added $1 for toppings for a total of $7.

I wished I had taken some pictures for the review, but my friend and I stopped by to get something quickly while we waited for a ride back to town.

All and all, not a single bad thing to say about the establishment, service, product or overall experience. If I find myself in the area again, it'll be an easy decision to...

For any families out there that are allergic to dairy this place is perfect for you. I called ahead of time to check on the flavors of the day and the protocols they follow as my 2 year old has a dairy allergy. The person on the phone was very knowledgeable and walked me through the entire process. When I arrived hours later I was greeted and the woman behind the counter walked me through the process once again. They washed their hands, changed gloves, and opened up a new container of the flavor my son wanted. They even have dairy free toppings! I am so grateful that my son gets to experience a trip to the ice cream shop like...
