I'd been coming to this location for a few years now. The staff is usually very friendly and good about remembering faces. Any issues that come up are handled very promptly and sincerely. However, after a recent remodel, the interior has been made extremely cramped and the seating very limited. Instead of a number of long tables, the center of this Starbucks has been fitted with two picnic bench style high top tables that seats 12. Coupled with the limited amount of space left after this and the large amount of marketing, there's only room for about 16 more occupants after those tables are taken. Considering that this store is a college campus location, the new layout seems to emphasize the idea of 'get your beverage and leave' rather than an inviting location to enjoy your coffee.
Bottom line : Service is good for a Starbucks. However after this remodel, the atmosphere is that of any other get-up-and-go corporate...
Read moreI went in there this morning and ordered a bagel and cream cheese. I was preoccupied with work stuff. The young woman who took my order had shoulder-length light hair. When she brought my bagel, somehow the point-of-sale machine did not show the screen with the total payment, nor did I see the screen where you could choose a tip or get a receipt. Again, because I was busy, I didn't think much of this. I tapped my card. This server said the total was "$9.18," which was exorbitant, and turned away. What??? I then tried to ask people how much a bagel and cream cheese was (the server had turned her back and faced the rear counter, where she remained). I finally got the issue across to another person who seemed to be in charge, who said a $5 tip had been added! She voided this for me. However, whoever took my order and added a tip for herself is a THIEF, and she should not be working there!!! I wouldn't go...
Read moreToday I had an grateful and interesting experience! A lady in front of me ( I don’t know her) gave me a Starbucks card and said happy Christmas ! I am grateful for a strange woman ‘s gift ! I ordered an medium regular decaf and it showed $2.41 ( close) . I took a wrong bag with me and couldn’t find my regular credit card . Then noticed the card from the Lady and asked if I could use the card. The cashier ( a yang man with reindeer headband ) said yes. He used the card and said I owe him .41 . I found $10 (a money pool and I need to put the $10 back) in an envelop . The WEIRD thing is the screen showed I paid $12.X and change is $9.X ( I got the change) and the man put the $10 into his OWN pocket just in front of me ! .... Later i asked and it turned out that young man is the manager and he explained there is $2 balance in that card and that lady gave to other people and show nice and...
