This is a review of the food truck - NOT the restaurant Our neighborhood has been inviting different food trucks to come and visit us on a rotating schedule. It's been great fun for the residents, and I hope the vendors are making money too. Since we see some of the same trucks for a couple of years now, I assume so. This time, it was the food truck associated with this restaurant that came to visit, and we tried their offerings. Note that they serve only a very limited selection from the truck. There is a much more expansive menu at the restaurant. This is what their web site shows, and what I was also told by the owner, who was cooking in the truck on the day that we tried the food. By limited, I mean that there were only two real choices: Philly Cheesesteak; and Chicken Wingz. That's it. Oh, there were some variations, and you could also get a side of fries and some drinks, but basically it was one sandwich and one wings. That's it. So, we got an order of a Cheesesteak, an order of wings, and a side of fries. Like all food trucks, you give the order, they prep the food and give it to you to take away. Much to our surprise, they handed it to us with only an aluminum wrap on the bottom - were we supposed to eat it right there? Turns out that they had a box of additional aluminum sheets available on the counter as well as plastic bags so we were able to finish wrapping our food, pack it in the bag, and take it home. The first thing we noticed about all three dishes was how salty all three were. Way too salty for our taste - that cost this review one whole star! The second thing that jumped to mind was the strangeness of the pricing model. The chicken wings cost $12 - for which you got 5 wings. They were cooked well and basically fell off the bone. The sauce was tasty, and if they were not so salty, they would be considered excellent, but paying $2.40 PER WING is exorbitant. The Cheesesteak was $11 and contained a lot more food! Then, the $5 worth of fries was larger than the cheesesteak and wings combined! This deducted three quarters of a star from this review. The final quarter star came off when we realized that except for a few fries on top, the whole lot of them were tiny little chunks of fries so we had to pull out forks. Now, who wants to eat french fries with a fork? By the way, the fries were super crunchy and crispy and super salty - lots of ketchup was required to cut down the saltiness. Ketchup that we supplied. Would I seek them out again? Only if they offered other things on the menu. If all they had were these same items, then I would pass.

Good but not great. Friendly staff, cute vibes, the food was ok, could have been better. The chopped cheese: too many veggies, too much bun, and not enough cheese The potato tornado: This is a dish served on the street and at festivals, I've had it before and when it's done right there IS no sharing because it's too good to share. To me, it was hard potatoes and the curry powder was just too much dry dust and should've been better incorporated into the dish. The potato could've used a soak and pre-fry and it would've been less starchy and crispier and awesome. My friend liked his dirty martini. My wine, granted it was Sunday afternoon, felt like the dregs at the bottom of the bottle.

Cool concept! Loved that there are local street names on the tables and the table by the window even had a traffic light fixture which was cool. Felt like a decent start up still working through some kinks. Staff was kind enough to comp the japchae we ordered when we commented that it wasn't actually japchae... The steamed buns and the Angus di pomodoro flatbread were both quite tasty. Loved the cauliflower with sweet red peppers also (the saltiness made for good pairing with the other items we ordered) My ginger spritz was delicious and refreshing and my fiance had the Route 66 cocktail (root beer and whiskey). Would definitely try it again

I had been meaning to try this place for years, and am left wondering why I didn't do so sooner.

My wife and I came in a Thursday night. The place was pretty busy and the bartender was doing it all - taking orders, serving, making drinks, running food, and bussing tables. Despite being so busy, she was very kind and attentive.

The food was delicious. The confit chicken wings were described by my wife as the "best I've ever had". The gold sauce was great. I found myself dipping my Cuban sandwich into it. The cuban was heavy on the meat and a great value for $13. Fries were good, and we enjoyed the flatbread we ordered. They have nice cocktails that are only $7. Nothing crazy complex, but fancier than a well drink, and priced right for a night out that doesn't break the bank.

The atmosphere was pleasant as well. I find that a lot of places that choose to decorate in a street art theme often miss the mark and come off a bit corny. Not Streets. It looked good, funky, unique, stylish. I really liked the touch of each table being named with a different South Side street sign. Bathroom was pretty clean, especially by South Side standards. And, lastly, anywhere that has old-school Simpsons on the TV is going to get my respect.

We're looking forward to coming back and checking out the rest...

One of the best, if not the best, places I've dined in Pittsburgh, except where my son works as a chef, of course :)

Everything I tried was presented well, cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! It is a huge complement to any restaurant when this southern Louisiana girl doesn't have to take her Cajun seasoning out of her back pack to make the food palatable.

The server was knowledgeable about the menu, friendly and efficient. All the staff seemed to truly enjoy working there and that says a lot about the owner and management.

My only regret was the food, all small plates, were larger than most other places I've eaten offering small plates and was so delicious that I ate more than intended and could't order and try more dishes !!!!

Oh, well, a good excuse to go back.

I highly recommend giving this place a try, make sure you go on an empty stomach though, because you will want to try everything...
