I wish I had higher praise for this bar, because I had heard good things from others before coming. Our experience was marred by a few factors. First was a panhandler right outside the door-I'm sympathetic to the unhomed, but it wasn't an appropriate time or place and the staff did nothing about it during the duration of our visit. Next, the bar's acoustics were off- the music cut out partway through our time there and never came back on, which really sucked some of the wind out of the atmosphere of sitting at the bar. With only loud conversation surrounding us, it felt closer to sitting at a cafeteria. Finally, it took a decent bit to get served by our bartenders, but at least my drink was interesting. I forget exactly what it was, but I think it was some smoked cocktail that at least had a visually appealing element in its preparation if not particularly the taste. I'd like to give the place a second chance but I'm not particularly in a hurry...

Cocktails range from less than 10 years to over 120 years old, and countries across the world. This is a curated collection that's served with honor and care.
