My second time ever trying boba, first time from a real boba shop (I first sampled the drink from Churn and wasn't a huge fan). This is absolutely delicious boba. I ordered the pineapple yogurt with crystal pearl boba (100% sugar).
They give you a pretty good portion for the price. Medium is $6 for yogurt drinks, and it's enough to enjoy with dinner, while walking, etc just to fill you up and keep you going. They also give you quite a bit of boba. The pearls are soft and chewy, the best texture for boba! At the top of the drink (right below the cap) you may find a little bit of frothiness, almost whipped cream. It's a bit sour but still a nice touch.
The yogurt itself tastes fresh and delicious. It's not too sweet nor too salty. I like that you can control the sugar content, but I enjoyed the fully sweet version. You can also control the ice level (some places charge you extra for no ice, but Tsacoaa doesn't) and I opted for no ice. There are real chunks of pineapple inside of the drink at the bottom! It reminds me a bit of a Chobani fruit yogurt drinks, but much tastier and with the addition of real fruit chunks and boba! That's what justifies the price in my opinion. The packaging too! It's really cool and well made for the drinking process to be seamless.
The options seem to be endless at this place. There are many other different types of fruit yogurts, including mango, blueberry, strawberry, and lychee. You can also get brown sugar boba, fresh tea, taro drinks, egg waffles, macarons, and so much more for a relatively reasonable price (not cheap, but not too expensive). Highly...
Read moreHonestly it was my first time here, so I was doing the self ordering. I love the additional Boba and bubbles you can get added so I doubled up. I didn't realize exactly how much that meant from my experience at other milk tea places. Well the girl who was making my drink was extremely unprofessional and was making fun of me and my drink with her coworkers instead of coming and explaining to me that it wouldn't all fit in the cup with my mango milk tea. I would've gladly avoided getting the extra if I was TOLD. Instead of hearing it while being made fun of. The entire time I could hear her making fun and the other coworkers just went along with it. They ended up putting all the extra toppings in an additional cup so I had 3 cups and macarons to carry. I wasn't even given a bag, or something to help carry everything. It just seemed like I was laughed at and left to figure it out. Honestly my mango milk tea wasn't anything exciting. I've had a lot better elsewhere. I got my mom a fruit yogurt one that she actually loved which was great. The macarons were good too. Oh, and to the ones who were making fun and laughing, I did enjoy my separate cup of toppings anyway that you kept making a scene about! 😊 Remember you're being looked at and watched regardless of what you think. I understand the staff is younger, but honestly where has kindness gone? I won't go here again...
Read moreOnly my second time here but probably my last after today’s experience. When I came in, it was empty except for a couple at the self checkout. I thought this was the only way to order, so I waited…and waited…and waited as this couple took their time with the register. A line started to form behind me, maybe 6 people deep, and no one behind the counter offered to take someone’s order. A young man with two young ladies comes in, sees the line, goes up to the counter where he obviously knows one of the employees, and the employee starts taking his order, before everyone who had waited patiently for the self checkout. I had already put in my order when this happened, otherwise I would have left. Ignoring customers is one thing, but putting a buddy before other customers really shows how little they regard their customers in general. And there were several people behind the counter that could’ve spoke up about this and didn’t. I did add a star because the drink was good but there are enough bubble tea shops around town that treat customers better than this to...
