I would like someone that manages the Squirrel Hill location to respond to this with their contact information. What I saw and heard going on in the line is absolutely unacceptable. I’d like the opportunity to talk with upper management before I put this place on blast over what I heard and witnessed. I’ve been going to this restaurant for over 10 years and because of one person it’s going down hill. I’m not a person to complain, but what has happened on several occasions I was there is not ok. If I don’t hear from upper management (as I know the people running the restaurant will cover for each other) I’m going to publish everything I’ve heard and seen. Needless to say they are less than legitimate restaurant practices. Please get in touch with
me. EDIT: I haven’t heard back from any manager. The employees of this place have no regard for what they talk about in front of customers. The employee I was talking about directly seems to have been let go or quit. I no longer buy anything from this restaurant, however my employees tell me things haven’t changed. Swearing in front of customers, angry comments about customers in front of other customers. It’s just completely unprofessional. I used to buy lunch here. Never again. My employees now refuse too as well. They heard it all themselves. As well as an employee telling a customer to just put their $47 order into the tip jar rather than charging for the order. This place doesn’t operate like a reputable restaurant. The owner needs to pay better attention to how their...

This past Thursday I decided to order from your Uncle Sam's in Oakland. My coworker gave it high marks... Sadly, after my experience I am unable to say the same.
After studying the menu I decided to order the Sam's Special Steak. The phone was answered promptly and my order was taken. I was told I could pick up in about 15 minutes. I arrived ten minutes after I ordered and my sandwich was waiting for me... It wasn't until I pulled out my debit card that my ordeal began.
The young lady behind the register let me know they had an ATM but they only took cash... She had no answer when I asked why that is not printed on the take out menu or told to people when they place an order over the phone. She was quick to let me know the ATM fee was only $1.
As the sandwich was already $8.50ish adding the $1 plus the $3 dollar fee my bank would charge made me think: do I want to spend $12.50 for lunch? I am sure you guessed it the answer is NO!
Fortunately after stepping out I was greeted by dozens of choices for a reasonably priced lunch, most of which would gladly accept my form of payment. Clearly I was irritated though and I can't help but wonder why Uncle Sam's would choose to create such irritated customers.
After scanning the reviews here I see I am not the only one with this exact same experience. Uncle Sam's.... its time you get with the program! I probably...
Read moreI was craving some quick easy lunch, and this is the perfect place for that. I went on a Monday noon, and it was pretty filled with the lunch crowd. I guess a lot of people who work in an around come here to get lunch. There is plenty of seating inside, so even with a lot of crowd, it wasn’t very difficult for me to find a place to eat. I got the Philly cheese steak with mushroom. Pay Friend in the new wait for your order while they call your name. Everything is made fresh in front of your eyes on the griddle including the fresh fries. My food came literally five minutes. The fries were thin cut and very fresh and crispy. Sandwich was freshly made and nice and crispy. I have never had a Philly cheesesteak before so I’m not sure if the taste was authentic, but it was pretty tasty. I guess my only complain was the quantity of meat was very less, and it was mostly just bread, but then again I don’t know if that is the norm. They lot of different type of sauces and condiments that you can get for yourself. I really liked it, and for the amount it was great value for money. If you want an easy, cheap lunch, I would definitely...
