Came to eat dinner with family, staff were all very nice. The interior is old fashioned, seating is mostly 4 seater booths. We had fried mushrooms and chicken tenders with wing sauce, the mushrooms were good the chicken was so so. Our salads were good. We has chicken parmesan and real parmesan, chicken was good but spaghetti sauce was bland. The veal was meh, you could tell it was from frozen. We did get fresh french bread which was good.

Extremely basic restaurant. I feel like I've stepped back in time here, like the 1960's-1970's. No frills - part of the restaurant is a bar. Down home type of feel place. Basic tables, chairs, booths, atmosphere - but food is really good & generous portions. Daily specials.

Terrific local spot in Pittsfield. Family size portions here and great service. Sausage, Peppers and Onions with Spaghetti was great here and some left for later on. Been open since 1936 and the there was definitely a strong regular presence a good sign.

Solid local restaurant. Great service, super friendly. Reasonable prices. We were in the area for the weekend. The previous night we ate at one of the flashier Italian places down in Lenox, and it was good. Well our dinner at Highland were just as good, at a much better price. We had chicken and eggplant dinners with mozzarella triangles to start. Dinners included spaghetti, salad, and fresh bread. Another reviewer complained Highland’s salad was “iceberg lettuce with some tomatoes”. That’s true, but it’s also just the kind of salad I wanted. Basic and fresh. If you want fancy Italian dishes and $12 salads go south on RT20. If you want dinner at Grandmas go...

Pasquale and brothers are standouts. Place is very clean and sanitary - the true gem of the Berkshires. Food selection and portions are excellant. Much superior to routine menus at national chain restaurants. Waitstaff is efficient and even smile now and then! There seems to be an increase in younger patrons which is great. They will find food that actually tastes like good home cooking should. Very few family-run places are left anywhere. City government should do all it can to assist and promote this gem next to City Hall instead of concentrating on $15 hamburg and what's-happening-now fly- by-night joints looking for a city...

When we arrived we were completely ignored by the woman at the register who had her back to the door talking to other employees we made our way around the corner and the bartender instructed us to sit wherever that would have been great if the four empty table in the back room had been cleared of the previous customers mess. We decided to sit in the bar area despite it being cold . Our waitress was great she seemed to be the only person working while everyone else just stood around talking cursing and eating. This used to be a place I really enjoyed going but after this...
