Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Plano

I decided to give the new smoke brisket a try on a burrito. I was disappointed. First of all I should have got a double tortilla. The ingredients were overpowering for the one tortilla. They were not able to be completely wrapped up. The sour cream, pico de gallo, and green salsa soaked part of the tortilla. By the time I got home, the cold ingredients had overpowered the warm ingredients and left my burrito barely above room temperature. I wish there was a way you could have the cheese melted. Maybe if they could melt the cheese to the tortilla before adding the next round of toppings, that might help as well. But you have a warm tortilla and warm rice and warm meat and warm veggies than you add on top of it cold Pico, cold sour cream, cold cheese, cold green salsa, and cold lettuce, they just cancel each other out. I think the brisket would have been better had it not been marinated in a sauce. I know that when brisket comes to mind people think about barbecue, but it could be like barbecue spices. I just don't think it meshed well with the Chipotle concept. The only reason this gets a three is because my daughter and my wife both enjoy their burrito bowl and soft tacos. Great food, great service. My top vegan option. They always have the best service, and the food is perfect every time. Love this place and this location. They are very quick in getting people through their line, but the typical lunch wait is 10 minutes A bit crowded, but the service is quick, efficient, and friendly. Easy for a quick lunch. food right, ever! This last time I called at 9:20pm with 40 min left to close and who ever picked up would take my order. He fought with me to take my order. Said they were closing. When I worked there we had to serve till 10pm. They looked like they had everything cleaned up by 9:30 and ready to close. With people sitting and eating still. The guy was really rude and short with me on the phone. and he still didn't get my food right because he was just trying to hang up with me. Good food but very poor service. always on the ball and scoops are proportional as expected. 4 stars with it being a chain, all things considered. Quality has suffered a little. Still a good choice for fresh Mexican food. I've never had a messed up order here. Or dirty food. Or even a piece of chicken that was too dry. Walked out after having to beg for 8 ounces of chicken. Chipotle claims a single scoop is 4 ounces. I asked for double chicken and the chick manning the protein skimped me so hard. Maybe had 5 ounces in the bowl. looked at her and said “can I get some more chicken?” She then proceeds to put 2 tiny cubes of chicken in my bowl, to bring the grand total to 5.3 ounces. I looked at her and said “can I please get some more chicken? You guys are supposed to give 4 ounces per scoop, and I asked for double.” She looked over to her coworker and waved him over. Asked him “can I give him some more”. The coworker said “yes, give him some more” she then, again skimps the hell out of me and gave me 2 more cubes, and at this point I said “thank you but I’m gonna go somewhere else.” Normalize walking out mid bowl when these people try to skimp you. It’s out of pure laziness, they simply don’t want to cook more protein once the current tray runs out. Go to El Queso instead. Family owned business and they...
