Chongqing Taste — Restaurant in Plano

I am very disappointed with the service offered at this establishment. We ordered an 8-course meal, and after two hours of waiting, we only received half of the dishes. We also waited thirty minutes just to receive water. In addition to this, it’s very clear they had no sense of order, as other customers who came in after us were served much faster. They are also severely understaffed, with only one waitress for the multiple families dining at the restaurant. Food was amazing! We had the grilled fish with pickled cabbage, pictured, which was sea bass served in a steaming tray with ginger, garlic, mushroom, kelp, peppers, lotus, and fresh cilantro. These generous portions were so delicious! Hubby tried the wonton in red chili sauce, which he thoroughly enjoyed, and said the heat was just right. We also had steamed rice and fried rice with beef and chicken. This is a fairly new restaurant, but the wok must have been well seasoned because the fried rice was on point. This establishment took over an older restaurant. A little pricy but compensating with a little larger portions. We were happy with our selection. The intestines is one of our favorite in this kind of cooking. They did a pretty good job with the crispness.
