My friend and I were looking for a place to grab a bite to eat before going to the movies and decided to try this place out. This place was a very pleasant surprise. We started off with mozzarella fritta, which were okay. Then they brought out their garlic bread which was to die for. They were warm and fluffy and were lightly covered in garlic butter and sprinkled with parmesan. The marinara sauce that was served with it was amazing as well and had a very good flavor. For the main course I had Chicken Marsala and my friend had fettuccine carbonara. The noodles in both dishes was cooked to perfection. The chicken cutlets in my dish were really thin but I didnt mind. The marsala sauce was full of flavor and every bite was better than the last. I also tried my friend's dish which was just as good, but I honestly think my dish was better. Afterwards, we decided to get a tiramisu for dessert. I'm not really a big fan of tiramisu but this one was delicious and you can tell that it was freshly made. After trying the food I was surprised that when we arrived there was absolutely no customers. Towards the end of our mean, which was an hour in, some people showed up to pick up to go orders but this place should definitely have more business than it does. It is a small establishment but it has a nice atmosphere with dim lighting with make is rather cozy and inviting. Our waitress Miriam was very friendly and attentive. She made small talk with us and provided great recommendations. My only complaint would be that they really dont have much of a wine selection, but that really isn't a deal breaker for me. Make sure to add this place to your list of...
Read moreI gotta say the service was TOP NOTCH. Fantastic wait staff. She was attentive, kind, and was knowledgeable of the menu. 5 stars!
The atmosphere is sparsely decorated. Painted walls with only a few decorations with a big tv that played random trick shot videos. Definitely a mom & pop shop. Not exactly an "authentic Italian experience." It was nice and peaceful, no kids running around.
My wife loves the ravioli but that's about all there is to say about the food. The garlic knot bread they bring to the table is a nice guesture but it's not that great. The cesar salad sides we got were the perfect portion size, albeit a bit wet/over sauced. I ordered the "Taste of Italy" which was not at all a taste of Italy. The lasagna was strangly sharp and zesty, I think they used the wrong kind of cheese maybe? I took three bites and couldn't eat any more of it. The fettuccine alfredo sauce was bland. Three bites and I passed on the rest. The chicken parm was surprisingly delicious! Just the right thickness of chicken to breading with a great flavor. The waitress noticed I wasn't eating and insisted I took home some spaghetti noodles. I refused but she insisted and packed us some to go. I had it the following day and it wasn't bad. Just confirms that their chicken parm would be great.
Strange things to note, the waitress said their carbonara uses alfredo sauce. This is not a carbonara, which uses egg instead of alfredo.
In summary, order the cesar salad, ravioli or chicken parm. Don't bother with...
Read moreMy first ever order from this joint, pizza and calzone. Pizza loaded with salt like I have never had before, I'd say overall taste and quality below mediocre. Calzone wayyy below mediocre, not properly cooked, especially the edges were raw. Very light on substance inside.
Delivery was horrible but that is not the restaurant's fault, I have already complained to the online ordering platform "slice" that decides what delivery service to use. It was a "meet at the door" delivery order, but the driver just left the order at the door without me knowing, no knock, no door bell ring, no text or call. Nothing. I found the order nearly 20 minutes after it was left at the door according to the ordering app, cold, with bugs and insects crawling around the packaging.
All in all an unpleasant experience. To top everything else, there was a tiny stone in the calzone that could have cracked my tooth if I hadn't stopped chewing immediately upon feeling it between my teeth. The only good thing I can say is that they were generous enough to throw in what looks like oversized garlic knots, which I didn't touch and do not plan to venture into.
I am absolutely and utterly puzzled how this place has a 4.7 google rating. Or may be they were just having a...
