I’m not one to post bad reviews of places, I like to give them the benefit of the doubt and look on the positive side but this was a horrible experience. The waiter was extremely rude, his attitude was horrible and unprofessional and unfriendly. He was very stuck up about their prices and his tone of voice when he talked to us was like he thought we were trash, like we weren’t worth his time to talk to. Watch out for their prices, they Jack up their prices and it’s in tiny fine print so you don’t see it until it’s too late, because their lunch prices only count on weekdays but then it goes up in price x2 on the weekends, making it literally 100% more expensive (for example, something that costs $15.99 before 3pm during the week costs $29.99 on the weekend, even if you go for lunch before 3pm). If you come in with a small party of two people you’re going to be sitting at a table with another group, so you’ll feel very uncomfortable if you wanted a nice lunch with your partner. The tables are sticky like they just took off the dishes and sat you down right away, they don’t bother to clean them properly so who knows what fluids and bacteria are stuck on the tables. The restaurant is loud and the floor is messy, we walked in and there were napkins and trash on the floor under the tables. It’s crowded to the point where you’re dodging tables and elbows and chair to try to sit down. The water that they give you to drink smells like mold and rust, and tastes like there’s mold and rust in it too. Don’t waste your time going here, there’s much better restaurants in the area with better food, better prices, and...
Read moreDon’t come to this establishment with a large party expecting to be treated kindly. (My group was 7 people by the way.) Instead expect to be barely looked at and rudely asked, “That’s all you’re ordering?”
For context, not everyone in my group was super hungry. So we decided to get the “steamed pork” and “pork/squid bulgogi combo”, which were fairly big portions and expensive. This order prompted our waitress to look us up and down then assume we wouldn’t be full off those two items. Her demeanor during the whole interaction was annoyed and plain haughty.
Full disclaimer, we did end up buying another dish, simply because her comment made me worried my friends would still be hungry. (Had we only ordered the two dishes, we would have left satisfied. However, we ended up taking two to-go boxes home.)
On top of that, the whole time we were there, not once did they come to check up on us. No water refills, and I had to flag them down THREE TIMES to ask for extra pickled radish. But not once did they bring it. That was the only thing I literally asked for, besides the bill. On my third try, I even went up to the cashier to ask for radish to-go. Did I receive it? Nope. Had they told me they were out, or that they simply couldn’t give out extra radishes, I would have completely understood. But nope, each time was my request was forgotten (or more like I was being ignored).
This wasn’t my first time at this establishment, but it certainly is my last. Sadly, there was automatic gratuity so I was forced to tip, which they were absolutely not...
Read moreI’ve heard a lot of good things about Korean bbq from people as well as the internet and thought it’s high time that I tried the food! I googled best Korean bbq restaurants in Dallas and came across this restaurant. The pictures of the food looked so delicious that I made up my mind to try the food here.
The restaurant is a cozy “no frills” restaurant. It’s quite simple but was crowded with a lot of customers and I totally understand why. First off, the servers were very sweet and helped us decide what to order as well as were very attentive and kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. We decided to order the pork ribs, spicy mackerel and a rice bowl with veggies and . They serve a variety of side dishes that are fun to try out while you wait for your dishes to be served. While the rice bowl was quite bland and needed a lot of spicy sauce to give it some flavor, the highlights of that evening were the pork ribs and the spicy mackerel. The pork ribs were oozing with flavor and the marinade on the ribs tasted so good. The meat was succulent and tender. My friend enjoyed the spicy mackerel, it was just the right amount of spicy and was cooked perfectly. It barely took us any time to devour the entire plate and the portions are quite big too!
I think this is my new favorite place and I’m waiting to go back and try more of the items...
