We’ve been waiting forever for this place to open and it was packed. Super clean. Smelled good. Good waiter. Their signature homemade caramel pecan cinnamon roll ($9) lived up to the hype. It was larger than the ($5) cappuccino. However, the second cinnamon to go looked like a third cousin. Not near the sauce or size. The coffee was a dark roast and Bobby wasn’t a huge fan. The parfait ($9) was runny and mixed fresh fruit with canned fruit. The atmosphere was chaotic and lound plus the table rocked. Clearly people tried to fix it before with sugar packs and a sign holder. When I went to the ladies room it was spotless but low on TP. Plus someone had left a necklace on the sink. A waitress was fixing her hair so I let her know about the TP and asked her if the necklace was hers She replied NO and left. I picked up the necklace and took it to the front desk. 🤷‍♀️ Will we go back, probably and try the lunch.

The Crossroads Diner re-opened! And it's in Plano now! This was hands down one of our favorite places to go to breakfast until they closed a few years ago. The food is always incredible, and the breakfast tostada seen in this picture is so good that it's very hard for me to order anything else when I come here. I recommend getting your eggs over medium with this dish. The pancakes are great. In one of the pics you can see I flipped one over so you can see all the blueberries tucked in there. And I really like the small touches like hot maple syrup by default, the ability to get real cream with your coffee, and their coffee just seems to taste better than typical diner coffee. And they have the largest selection of sweeteners I have seen. You should definitely consider coming down here if you haven't been. As for us, we will be coming here pretty regularly. 😋

Oh, my word! We used to frequent Crossroads at Preston and Campbell and were crushed to see it go. By total CHANCE we saw it reopened when we discovered a Flying Fish near our neighborhood. It's tucked away along a creek at Alma and Plano Parkway. Lots of parking, beautiful setting, and one of the best breakfasts you'll get. They do really well on the basics, but have some really fabulous others like frittatta... mine this morning with sausage and caramelized onions topped with a creamy boursin cheese, or eggs Benedict Florentine that is to die for. House made everything including their yummy syrup. Top your breakfast with their stellar coffee or their famous cinnamon roll and I guarantee you'll be back. Service (Hey, Courtney!) is fabulous and you'll see the chef running around checking on things. Find it and GO!

So we came to eat here on a Friday morning. Husband had to go to work, I however was off. We got here at 7:15. It was quiet but not unexpected for a weekday morning.

If you are a breakfast person like we are you need to try this place. YUMMMMM! Our waiter recommended the waffle to me over the pancakes. That man was spot on. My waffle was one of the best I’ve had in a long time, even better than the ones I make at home with beaten egg whites and yeast. (Delicious but painful to make). It was hot and crispy, with a soft chewy inside. Also know I don’t use syrup, just butter. I inhaled it. (Embarrassing) The bacon is baked so it’s not greasy, just like I like it.

My husband had the Crossroads breakfast. Biscuit was delicious. It’s dense, and flaky at the same time. Not sure how that was accomplished. His eggs were make to his liking, they understand soft scrambled. He was only okay about his sausage and since I’m not big on sausage I can’t confirm his opinion. The hash browns were really good as well.

My take is go there, if you like breakfast you’ll enjoy this place.

Oh the staff are great too. Our waiter was spot on on the waffle and the chef delivered our food while he was serving another table.

Again, if breakfast is your jam, you should try this place out.

Enjoy!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I see a lot of great reviews and I'm sure they are all true. I have been going to Crossroads for a long time. The first time they were on Walnut Hill/75 in an old Bennigan's, then we followed them to the Preston/Campbell location, the food was always top notch, the service great. However, I just went to their new location on Alma and Plano Pkwy in Plano Texas. My first observation - Where are all the people? I arrived around 8 am and the place was practically empty, I have always had to wait at the other two locations. The coffee I was served was warm not hot I asked for another cup. I order what I always ordered the caramelized onion Frittata, it was not how I remembered it, it was fine but not the same. Actually I was disappointed nothing stood out. When I entered the restaurant it still had the lunch menu displayed when I walked in, even though not very many people were there I had to wait to be seated - employees were all talking near the kitchen, and I was not told of any specials for the day. I will go back again, maybe they're just trying to get back on their feet. I hope it's better next time, I would still recommend it, but it does not feel or...
