Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Plano

Was looking forward to enjoying some BBQ for an early dinner. We drove to this location because a previous Plano location visit was disappointing. When we arrived, the restaurant wasn't busy, we ordered/received our food and when it came to the drinks we saw a stack of foam cups. When we asked the young lady at the counter where the yellow cups were, she responded that the restaurant charges $3.00 for the yellow cups and asked if we wanted one? We said no as our meal was already at $11.99 per person for a sandwich and (1) side and a drink (that should have been served in a yellow cup). What made it frustrating was that the customer behind me also asked about the yellow cup and was given the same response about price. After her refusal to take/pay for it, the lady at the counter gave in and said, go ahead and have it, the customer then replied with, "Are you sure?"...I was within arms length of the customer behind me as I was waiting for tea, since the tea container was empty. When the young lady returned with filling my foam cup with tea, it was completely watered down with no flavor at all. When I went to the drink machine to try something else, there were only a few selections of soda flavors and each of those were also watered down. I suppose they weren't putting in the needed syrup to get the right consistency. I get it, places are hurting and people cut corners to save here and there, but when I choose to take my family out to eat and spend my hard earned money, I expect to have a good quality meal and drink. The icecream from the icecream machine was questionable as well. It was a heartbreaking visit to say the least and at $56.25...our meal didn't sit well. You guys need to get it right...

I placed an order online to be delivered to me for my kid's birthday party. My delivery driver - a 3rd party entity via Door Dash picked up my order from Dickeys and I was notified that my food would be arriving at an estimated time. I got another notification telling me my delivery had been cancelled. I called Dickey's and the Manager on staff - Urieli took care of everything for me. She apologized to me and made me a whole new order at no additional charge to me. She even gave me a few extras for the inconvenience and offered to deliver it to me herself. I ended up picking it myself and I am glad I did. I got to meet the team there and they are great. Based on my experience, I will never order my food for delivery but because of the way Urieli handled the situation, I will always use this location when ordering bbq from Dickeys. In summary, I highly recommend this location to anyone considering Dickeys. Not only is their food warm and tasty, their customer service is exceptional and their Manager Urieli goes...

I love dickeys, but today had me feeling differently about it or at least this location.

I had gone to dickeys the night before 30min before close. I asked if they had already put everything up, they said no and took my order. The meat guy gives me the fattiest meat possible, literally 60%. Doesn't butter the buns on a sliced beef sandwich. Which is understandable, they have lives too and want to go home I get it.

So I go there the following day to get a redemption on my craving and end up getting pulled pork, turkey and one side. Come to the counter thinking they split a 1/4 pound. Nope, it's a half pound and I pay $12 and ask for a receipt. Receipt shows $11.99 for large waffle fries. I say something to the cashier and she explains why. I get home and this is a 1/4 of a pound... not only that, but the pulled pork is seriously 80% fat.

So I ate my turkey and side while I wrote this review. Please guys, we pay good money for your food. Take pride in giving quality meat and accurate...
