Fadia's Deli and Bakery — Restaurant in Plano

Walked into the restaurant to order some food to go. There were four men sitting at a table eating some lunch and one woman watching the counter. I was never greeted by anyone despite being the only customer in the store. The men sitting at the table would turn out to be either family or friends sitting with the owner for lunch. The woman took my order and walked off leaving me to wonder if I was to pay now or later. My single schwarma wrap and 2 falafel took 18 minutes to receive. The falafel were cold so those didnt take any time. The wrap left much to be desired. It had really good flavor but there was just nothing there. The falafel had a burnt after taste to them but were not burnt themselves leading me to believe the fryer oil needs to be changed.

In the time it took to receive my food, two men sitting at the table got up and walked directly into the kitchen to return with a wrap each and eat them. So it took 18 minutes to get my food but family and friends can get wraps on demand by walking into the kitchen. One of those same men while I was sitting there walked to the bakery case, opened it, and took treats out with his bare hands to then eat them barehanded as well.

These are usually my favorite types of places to visit, but with the lack of service , cost, and timeliness. I will take my time to go to Halal...

What do you want! Yes, this was how my wife was spoken too after standing around for over a minute looking for someone to place our order with. So she rung the bell and the guy sitting at the table with a group of people get up and asked her "what do you want". Seriously, this is not how you do business. Not a smile, not friendly, did not greet us when we were the only ones in the deli aside from his group of friends.

We placed an order for the beef and chicken shawarma. The items came out in a few minutes. The beef shawarma tastes really bad. The chicken shawarma is much better.

So why the 2 stars? Service was an absolute 1 star. They need to improve on greeting and being more attentive to their customers vs talking to their friends.

Don't talk with a rude tone even if that's normal for you. Be pleasant.

Make the beef shawarma tasty or don't serve it at all.

They only take cash. It would be nice to have this posted somewhere vs surprised at the register.

I know they are a small family deli but if you're going to run a business it's important to be attentive to all the little details. It doesn't matter if you are large or small. They have a lot to improve on which can only help...

Avoid this place at all cost!!! I came in and waited for 10 minutes and no one came to help at all. Old grumpy man comes from behind the counter and I greet him nicely. He doesn’t even greet me back just pure disrespect. Then he asks me what I want like I’m bothering him????? I tell him I want to order a cheese pie with some tea. Mind you he’s basically ignoring me half the time and looking away trying to act like I don’t even exist. I have trouble finding a clean table so I just sit next to the window which is just filthy. He brings me the food I thank him repeatedly both times and he doesn’t even respond or look my way. At this point I’m in shock. When I pay the lady at the register has no idea what I even ordered I mean what kind of business are you running. I am a champion of local businesses but not when I receive terrible customer service and microwaved cheese pie. Take your money else where trust me there’s plenty of better options with excellent customer service.
