Read moreThe wife and I met some friends for lunch at this restaurant. Our first time eating here and the impression was good. It was clean, above average décor, especially for a Pizza Restaurant. This place brings back what Pizza Restaurants have lost. People want to be able to dine in a pleasant atmosphere, with friends / family, over a pie and drinks. That is the winning formula that made Pizza Restaurants popular, back in the 1970’s. Not takeout, and delivery. The Pizza was above average in fresh ingredients and unique blends. My wife and I split a medium (13”) using their half and half option. We ordered half “Pepperonipalooza” and “the Xtreme” off their specialty menu. First, let me say there is such a thing as “too much” Pepperoni. We have learned that but that is not the case here. This pizza has three distinct kinds of Pepperoni (who knew?) that complimented each other perfectly. And “the Xtreme,” was a particularly good rendition of what most places call a “Meat Lovers Supreme.” When we arrived, the Manager met us at the door with a smile and advised us about their specialties. He said thin crust pizza is what they are known for. We do not like thin crust pizza so we ordered the “Hand Tossed” hoping it would be a thicker crust. If the thin crust pizza is thinner than the “Hand Tossed,” it must be nearly see through. Our crust was thinner than a Saltine Cracker. And that is what keeps their pizza from being a five-star pizza. They have a broad selection of draft beers, properly chilled. Their fried Mushrooms were excellent. All of us enjoyed our lunch. The lunch specials still put their offers higher than local competitors for lunch. But not so much so that it is a deal killer. With one medium specialty pizza, one 12 oz. draft beer, and one-half order of fried mushrooms, the bill with tip came to $43.00 for two people. Which is on the high side for lunch and almost out of our budget. The lunch specials would have been more expensive considering the same sides and drink. Table Service was average. We would give this restaurant 4.5 stars if we could, but we round it to a 4 because we are unable too. We will come back. Not the best Pizza locally but is the best Pizza Restaurant...
Read moreMy wife and I went on her lunch break. We were seated immediately but took them about 10 min before even asking our drink orders. The manager explained that they only had one server so we understood and proceeded to place our orders. We were annoyed with the manager cause he kept trying to change our mind on what to order, to the point my wife was ready to walk out. We finally submit our order, Mount Mushmore and Veggie combo ( I really wanted to order the pizza of the gods with red sauce but the manager and waitress both convinced me it was a poorly designed pizza) they also kept trying to get me to order meat pizza even though we explained we were eating vegetarian… So our pizzas come out and the Mount mushmore was sat down then they sat the veggie combo down but it wasn’t a veggie combo, it was a ATW with pepperoni… we’re not eating meat so I sent it back as it was wrong. The guy tried leaving it on the table and “go check” and we politely asked him to take the incorrect pizza back. Then the manager comes to apologize for inputting the wrong pizza for our order. The waitress then comes by asking how my pizza was (the incorrect order). I explained that it was flavorless and not good. She shrugged her shoulders and walked away. I told myself that I would tip whatever discount they presented on the order as they made my wife late back to work for her lunch break. I also said to myself that if they offer something I will return but the receipt came and no discount was offered. I did leave a zero tip as the waitress didn’t do anything to service us. She made my wife late to work and she put the wrong pizza. I didn’t ask for a discount but it should have been offered. I also didn’t appreciate being told not to order certain menu items that sounded really good to me. We will not return to this establishment as the food was no where close enough in flavor or quality to consider this was just “an off day” and to give...
