Keke's Breakfast Cafe — Restaurant in Plano

This experience was a cluster. After waiting several minutes, the hostess came to my table to tell me that my server had just gotten two tables and she might be running a little bit behind. Which is fine. After waiting several more minutes, another server came to my table to tell me that my server was still very busy, but she would be with me in a few moments. At which point I asked, could I get a cup of coffee and was told your server will get that for you. In a couple of minutes, my server came over and asked if she could get me a cup of coffee, she did. And walked away. I realized there was no creamer or sweeteners on the table, so I had to wait for her to come back in a couple of minutes. At which point I asked for creamer and sweet and low. Again, after a few more minutes, she came back with a small bowl of three creamers and three sweet and low packets. And walked away. At that point, I realized there was no silverware on my table for me to stir my coffee with. Had to wait again to be able to stir my coffee and had to ask for a silverware set up. Waiting yet again… I placed my order for an egg sandwich with my egg to be over medium… Didn’t realize till I picked it up and took a bite that it was actually over easy and it squeezed out all over and down my shirt. I had the pleasure to going to their soft opening, and I must say it was a great experience. The food was amazing, served warm and fresh by the most polite servers I have ever experienced. I had the veggie omelette with turkey sausage and it was delicious. My niece had the pancakes, and they were colossal, they were so light and fluffy. Everyone at our table was very impressed with the food and the service, I will most definitely be going back. I have found my breakfast spot, and I cannot wait to go again. Jeremy, the manager was very kind, and walked around to every table to check on everyone and introduce himself. Our servers were Eric and Sydni and they were both top-tier servers. If you’re looking for a new breakfast/brunch spot in Plano, I highly recommend Keke’s. I suggest you go soon before everyone finds out about it. It’s in a new shopping center, I know as soon as the word gets out, the line will probably be out the door, the food and service...

I was really looking forward to enjoying a nice brunch, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.

Our server had noticeable body odor, which was uncomfortable. The food took a long time to arrive, and when it finally did, my girlfriend’s meal was cold and my order was incorrect. They took my plate back, but after waiting another 15 minutes, it was still wrong and missing toast. When the toast finally arrived, even that was incorrect.

What made things worse was the lack of service. The waitress never checked on us even once. When the manager brought the food out and we asked why it was taking so long, his only response was that there were other tickets ahead of ours. Later, when the waitress finally appeared with butter, she excused herself by saying she had a large party to attend to.
