Was excited to try because I saw good reviews earlier. I didn't eat inside, but it looks clean, but small. The person at the counter was very friendly. I ordered the crispy chicken burger and fries. The chicken sandwich had a spicy red sauce on it. I wasn't a fan of the sauce. It also had cheese on it, but I honestly couldn't taste the cheese because the sauce was so spicy....sort of a pointless ingredient, the cheese, if you can't taste it. First I wall say this. The sandwich and fries looked great!.......I will repeat this. They looked great. However, the looks didn't match up with the actual taste. The chicken in the sandwich was fried nicely but.......I dont know if there was something wrong with the chicken but it was so tough....like, not over cooked.....but TOUGH. You know when you bite through gristle? It was a little like that, only it was chicken I was biting into...the meat itself was almost....crunchy, and I am not talking about the breading.
Onto the fries. The fries were almost perfect looking...what you'd expect crispy on the outside but soft on the inside to look like. This was what I thought I was biting into. The fries looked great but the inside was .......really kind of hard, like cardboard-like. It was the weirdest fry. It wasn't over cooked.....it wasn't crunch like the outside...it was again....just TOUGH! a crispy on outside tough on inside fries. I ate maybe a few and just decided...I can't make this taste good with ketchup or mayonnaise or ranch...so I just stopped eating my meal.
Most of it went into the garbage. Didn't really see a point in eating something that really just didn't feel good eating. Normally I'd just try to not waste my food, but this was just not great. I felt dispappointed. This was a cheat day on my diet and I wanted to try a new place. I ended up throwing most of my food out it wasn't great. I won't be coming here again due to the food. The person at the counter seemed nice and it was clean on the inside. That's all I...
Read moreOVERVIEW -burgers, wings and any creative combination using fries you can imagine. WHAT DID I TRY? -burger is in the name of the restaurant but I didn't get a burger so this will be an incomplete review. -I tried 4 flavours of wings: Naga, Sylheti blaze (personal favourite), Dhaka blaze and Bengal tiger. They have probably over 20 different wing flavours with funky sounding names, prompting one to wonder if they're just made up names or actually different flavours (how're you supposed to imagine how Argentinian jerk or Sylheti blaze might taste like?). The wings were juicy and the flavour profiles were distinct enough from each other to warrant a different name. -I also tried the loaded Philly cheese steak fries which gave me pretty hardcore flashbacks of smoke's poutinerie but there was no cheese curds or gravy. Instead it's just what it sounds like, whatever you would have in a philly cheese steak sandwich spread onto fries. Juicy and just the right amount of greasy, definitely an item to crave. SPECIAL FEATURES: -Naga is the name of what is claimed to be the hottest, spiciest chili in the world. The word is also related to a snake, appropriate because eating this chili will make you feel like your mouth got bit by a cobra. With just one small bite of the naga wings, my lips legit started burning and then going numb. ONLY try this flavour as a novelty/joke and not to judge the quality of the food (even those with the highest jhaal tolerance won't be able to discern taste at the naga heat level). -They always seem to have some kinda creative special going on (at the moment it's a copycat of the popeye's spicy...
Read moreI don’t typically review places where I eat, but the guy working here seemed to really care about our experience so I just felt like I had to leave a review. He took his time when we had a long and detailed order and made sure to get it perfect. We even switched a few things and said nevermind to a few things and he handled it perfectly. I see a lot of people on here ordering spicy food and then being upset when their food came out spicy. In my experience, the worker made sure we knew exactly what we were ordering and how spicy to expect our food. He even offered different spice levels that we could use to get exactly what we want. When my sister ordered something with the spiciest level, he went the extra mile to put the spicy sauce on the side so that she could see if she could handle it and then choose to add it. otherwise, she could just enjoy her burger without the spicy sauce. It was a great call because she ended up using very little while it was perfect for some of the others who can handle a bit more spice. The burgers were also probably the best i’ve ever had. I tried a bit of a few different burgers and they were all great in their own respective ways. They were a tiny bit pricy (7$-10$) but well worth the money if you’re looking for good food. Basically, as long as you don’t go asking for very spicy food if you can’t handle it and don’t be upset at the restaurant when you couldn’t handle what you specifically asked for, you’ll love this place. Want great burgers made by people who really care about how much you enjoy the...
